I've heard lots of people through the years, people at the door, teachers, professors, and friends say they admire the philosophies of these religious leaders, but not their religions. None of these people were promoting the BK cult, but it is the way they feel about Jesus Muhammad and Buddha.

what was that blessing part about?

i kept hearing pioneers talking about the blessings that they were receiving and as i looked at their lives objectively, there really isn't anything special about them.

maybe they are just more appreciative of things than other people.

I gave hundreds of $ to a witness family that was struggling financially, without being asked and without expecting ever to be paid back. They were the first ones to unfriend me on facebook when they heard rumours about me.

do you think these changes are being made so they can start teaching the r&f a new set of doctrines?

or is this just a fly in the ointment just to continue to confuses the masses so they don't know what the hell to think anymore?.

Great breakdown, DD! Yes when the GB goes back to being mysterious and amazing when they are told to stop being public, time will pass, and all their embarrassing videos will be considered 'old light' and disregarded.

Oh god fremind, that is so true. Yay! The witnesses are soooooooo great to reverse this teaching!!!! They are now interpreting scriptures the way other churches have for HUNDREDS of years. The difference is...oh, witnesses think they are sooooooo special, the only true ones, and they have lots of rules instead of conscience matters, and if you don't follow exactly their interpretation, you don't qualify for God's salvation, and you can't leave. Wow, is this appealing or WHAT.

It has always been interesting to me that 'spiritual' to Jehovah's witnesses means a person who does these things that are so mundane.

I SAT THROUGH TODAYS WT STUDY WITH A CHEEZER! !

may 10th, the whole study was about covering up their mistakes, and putting it off on "recent refinements of understandings".. you could just look at the elder on stage and know he was not feelin this study.. when a neewbie answered and said" lots of unexpected changes are happening" i about fell outta my seat !

The old truth was 'the truth', the new truth is 'the truth'.... but if you stick to the old truth you are 'against the truth'....there is only one truth......how did truth get so confusing!?

i've noted active, devoted jw's state the above.. and, it's not a problem for me to remain trusting of god, i just don't trust religions or men.. recently, a member of this forum stated that he remains an active jw, in the family of god's people, wanting to encourage and do good - whilst recognising that the pastoral leaders (the gb) have shipwrecked the faith of many, being unsound scripturally etc, etc.. stop and think about this - the bible says to not follow after those who lie and hurt the faith of "little ones".. the pharisees were accused of traversing over lands and expending much energy to make a single convert - only for that convert to end up worse of than he started off with.. it's one thing to not believe this is the 'truth' and feeling the awful pressure of managing ones life, trying not to lose ones family.. it's quite another thing to declare oneself to be a christian believer of god's jw household, and somehow believe the god of love would use corrupt liars to parade as jesus' brothers in the urgency of last days.

and, to then visibly promote faith in corrupt men, and try to bring converts into a place where the rulership is wrong.. some of us are dying from hurt here.......give me a break..
