  Vigil for my daughter, please.

  as mentioned in my other thread, my daughter lena is having brainsurgery on monday, jan 24. the surgery will last 6-7 hours, so i'm hoping the board members will be willing to make a special effort tomorrow to send positive thoughts, healing energy, good wishes and prayers her way.

  we are asking that the surgeon's hands be delicate and skillful and that lena does not bleed overmuch and that brain damage be minimal (if not non-existant).

  surgery begins at 8 am eastern standard time (us), but we have to have her to the hospital by 6 am, so this is "good night!

  Anybody With Sleep Apnea?

  how are you coping?

  do you use a cpap machine or did you get surgery to correct your difficulties?

  do you dread having to go to sleep, with the possibility that you may never awaken?

  I think my cat is a crack addict! :S

  ok, it isn't really crack... but it might as well be!.

  i have to be very careful not to leave any plastic bags anywhere around my apartment or my cat will try to eat it.

  i'm always paying close attention to the plastic bags that i bring home from the store... they all go straight in to a covered trash can so that the cat can't get them.. now, for the last two days he has been puking all over the place and i can't find any plastic that he might have been eating off of... but i am finding the plastic in his puke... so i know thats what is going one.

  Johnny Carson Died

  msnbc just reported that former tonight show host johnny carson died of emphysema this morning.

  Johnny Carson was class, instead of being pushed out of the Tonight Show. He chose to end it on a up note rather than a squabble over who was going to be a sucessor. All the positioning and politics, wasn't his style.

  He took a lot of people by surprise including his publicist when he announced he was retiring. He did it again.. he surprised us all with a gentle exit. His wit, humor and class will be missed.

  growing up in the jw religion and having a dad who was an elder, i remember how controlling they were.

  i find it amazing now just how much of my childhood i missed out on.

  i couldn't watch alot of t.v.

  Yes, my mother was very controlling and very abusive. My step father was withdrawn from the family dynamics. He would be emotionally and mentally abusive. When I was with my father, I had freedom, friends, and the ablity to express myself with out fear of punishment. That wasn't the case with my mother. There were always conditions and any breech of those conditions were dealt with harshly. Til this day I mourn the losses and grieve that what should have been and could have been wasn't allowed.

  Pioneer Takes Baby Out In Zero Wind Chill

  it's a keeper and shows how fanatical they can get:.

  on my way to work in our city's downtown area i regularly see a pioneer walking up and down the street, holding up his magazines.

  I would have definately called the coppers! This makes me so mad. A baby can't say " Assss hhhole (via Focker style) Take me inside it is cold!" It amazes me what parents do to children.

  it is good for the canadian parents here who are fighting to see their children and they are having their children's minds poisoned by the custodial parent.... a good case in canada.

  Yeah! that is so good to hear. Both parents have to actively go after what is good for the child. OR else the child suffers, some times extremely so.
