I agree that reports would be closer to honest if given anonymously. Honesty has many different colours. A report given by one may be judged as dishonest by another, but what is important is the honesty expressed by the reporter. Anyone interested in analyzing the statistics would then have
a better chance of calculating closer to correct data.

Why the field service reports?
by Syme insome years ago, we had this difficult bible study with a guy who was unofficially a witness for about 40 years, yet he would never make the step of becoming an unbaptized publisher.
we pushed him at some point to tell us the reason, and the reason was this: he didn't agree with the field reports practice.
he said he did a lot of preaching by himself but didn't see any reason to report it to the congregation.. of course, we told him that the reason we hand in field reports is so that we have statistics, and know how much work is done worldwide and bla-bla-blah.

USA, Oklahoma | Jehovah's Witness church elder Ronald Lawrence arrested over sex abuse claims dating back to 1980s
by jwleaks inusa, oklahoma | jehovah's witness church elder ronald lawrence arrested over sex abuse claims dating back to the 1980's.
a 76-year-old mcalester man was arrested tuesday on 19 counts of sexual abuse after police received claims he molested several children while in a position of authority more than 30 years ago.. mcalester police detectives were alerted to the alleged sexual crimes conducted by ronald lawrence back in august when his first accuser reported abuse at the hands of a jehovah's witness church leader.. a woman now in her 40s told detectives lawrence, an elder at mcalester's kingdom hall of jehovah's witnesses, abused her when she was just eight years old, inviting her to his home, where he fondled her and raped her in his bathtub, according to her testimony found in lawrence's arrest warrant, which was issued tuesday.. two other accusers, also in their 40s, then came forward with similar stories of abuse.
both said they were very young, with one telling investigators the molestation took place from the time she was 10 until she was 13 years old.

" If [Watchtower] officials...withold that information from authorities, they too could be prosecuted."
If counsel was given to the congregation elders to NOT contact the police, and such counsel originated from New York, would this classify as a federal crime [?]
and would the FBI have to become involved as the crime crossed state lines ? -

- What the Elders would say
- What other Witnesses would say
- What if you took your family along with you?
- What if you encouraged others to join you or recomment that they have the same vacation?
- What if you stated you would take the same kind of vacation every year?
- Et cetera, Et cetera, Et cetera

Pages 1766-1767 of the 2013 NWT
by Doug Mason inpages 1766-1767 of the 2013 nwt states that the message of the bible is gods right to rule.. given that the wts declares that gods kingdom rule began in 1914, one would suspect that this would feature.
instead, there is a vague reference to something that supposedly happened about 1914.. here's the picture:.

"about 1914"
Is this a prelude to an " about face?"

Mindless violence. It takes a level of evil and callousness that most simply cannot understand.
Killing three children under six years.
Sending a message?
Obeying orders?
Couldn't care less, to the most extreme degree.
Trying to use logic to understand does not work with crimes such as this.
However, in the name of fighting for freedom and liberty, otherwise decent people have committed far more heinous crimes. Keeping separate from the proximity of the blood makes it easier.
" I didn't raise my boy to be a soldier,
I brought him up to be my pride and joy,
Who dares to put a musket on his shoulder,
To shoot some other mother's darling boy? "

Gerrit Losch was actually once an apostate.
by Julia Orwell ina jw friend of mine (who was one of my besties until i told him i didn't believe jw religion anymore) used to live in austria and for a while in the 70's was in the same congregation as losch.
they used to spend some time together in the ministry.
my jw friend tells me that he and losch used to often talk about how they believed the wt was wrong about certain interpretations of the bible, for example, how at the time the wt taught that the mustard tree used by jesus in an illustration represented an evil kingdom, and losch and friend didn't think that was right.
