I used to work security at district conventions. This was one of the main things we were looking for. We would eject anyone trying to flyer the cars and then dump the literature in the trash. The flyers still got read by some, though, including me!

Flyers put on car windscreens @ conventions
by Nowfree inhas anyone thought of putting leaflets on car windscreens at the district conventions that are coming up?.
all good jws should be at the convention - if they are using public/football ground car parks, then it will be easy to target their vehicles and put a leaflet on them.

I can understand being pissed about being "disfellowshipped" from the board. Ouch! I hope he knows it was a case of mistaken identitiy, and understandably so, due to the fact that he was posting from the same IP address as someone who was removed for being abusive.
As far as him leaving because people were mean to him, I find this hard to swallow. I think wholewheat is a big boy and can handle it, especially because he was dishing it out just as much.
Wholewheat if you gain access to a computer again and come back, I think I can speak for most of us here in saying you would be welcome.

to scream or not to scream
by Incense_and_Peppermints injw women have a greater need than jw men to stay ever vigilant and attentive of the watchtower's back and forth rules and regulations which they have the nerve to teach is "new light" from god.
depending on the "new light" from the governing body, if she doesn't scream during a rape, she will be charged by the elders as an adulteress ... someone who may have actually 'enjoyed' the violent act because of her silence.
if another jw woman was raped in 1969 and she didn't scream, she would not be disfellowshipped.

Yet another instance where the W.T.S is getting involved where they have no buisness doing so
Heaven, you are right. Whoever thought a victim of rape should appear before a judicial committee to be accused of liking it is a sicko in the first place. Can you imagine if a rape victim came to Jesus for help and Jesus asking "Did you scream?"
This is just one extra perk for these low-life elders. Getting to play sex police games.
You console the victim and give them spiritual and emotional encouragement and prayers. That's your jobs, dim-witts!

First Impressions : Men & Women
by professor inthis question is kind of related to the male and female friends post: .
a female friend of mine once told me that many women find it necessary to flirt with a man the first time they meet him, even if there is no real attraction.
the reasoning is that a man will never pay attention to a woman unless there is a sexual interest first.

Of course you aren't! Neither are we so shallow and egotisitcal that we would require a sexual interest to pay attention to a woman. The idea in itself is obviously silly. I am just wondering if there are really a lot of women out there who behave this way, as my friend suggested.

IS IT PROPER TO RISE FOR A WOMAN ?
by minimus inthe 4-15-52 wt.
says it is by satanic design to untheocratically elevate the woman above the man.tipping your hat to a woman could possibly lead to improper advances.it sets a woman apart because of her sex.it is subtly disguised creature worship!.
more wisdom from the faithful slave.......

Of course this was written 50 years ago when it was the gentlemanly thing to do to tip your hat, open doors, pull out chairs, etc. for the ladies. This statement probably caused more of a stir back then, when the Watchtower always seemed to be going for shock value. "See how separate and different we are!"
Today you have to be careful because some women feel it is demeaning to have a door opened or a chair pulled out. I usually do anyways. Most ladies don't mind and I enjoy extending the courtesy. But tipping a hat or standing when a lady gets up seems kind of silly. I might tip a hat and say "howdy ma'am!" if I were some freakin cowboy from the wild wild west. I find other ways to practice creature worship.
