what is everyone's vacation plans?
in aug we are going to disneyworld and in november we will be going back to east africa for another safari.. .
last year we went to ngorongoro crater and lake manyara in tanzania and the masai mara region in kenya.
I'm taking the kids to Boston and New Hampshire next month, closely followed by a week long apostafest on Orcas Island. Then in August I'm taking the kids to Hood River, Oregon to visit some friends. September/October I'm taking the kids to Disneyland with Mulan then the Hawaii/40th anniversary trip. Hmmmm, I need to take my husband with me on more trips!

i know some of you are not going to appreciate this and it probably won't start a movement that will affect a change but it will make me feel better to rant.. i find it very distracting to have moving graphics in the field of text, where we are supposed to be reading.
perhaps many of you are used to listening to the radio while studying for a test, as i have often seen depicted on tv, presumably in humor.
it may be humorous but it is not conducive to actual retention and meaningful meditation.

this is a story about the heart-pounding rollercoaster ride of buying a house and how i saw the proof that god really does love me.. some of you, especially newer ones, probably don't know that when i left the organization in 1987, i left still believing that the organization was the true religion, which meant, since i couldn't stay in it and keep my sanity, that jehovah didn't want me.
after 12 years of trying as sincerely as is possible to get his help with what was wrong, i gave up and quit, and literally prayed to jehovah saying, "it's obvious that you don't intend to help me; therefore i can only assume you don't want me.

Thanks for providing the link eman. I agree that Chris is incredibly arrogant and amazingly trusting of the elders ability to reform pedophiles. I would have to ask him if he would be willing to leave his children alone for a day knowing that a car group would be in his neighborhood with a pedophile amongst them. Would he trust that the pedophile would be accompanied by a "mature christian" or would he want to be with his kids, just in case? Might get him to think about that for a minute or two.
What Bill has accomplished with Silentlambs and Dateline is marvelous. He has turned Jehovah's Witnesses into defenders of pedophiles. Parents will turn against them in droves.

probably because of the dateline thing.. several points brought out, cant remember them all:.
1) sexual abuse is bad.
Two witnesses?!! That is helpful to all the potential abusers..."note to self, no more than one witness". They are despicable.

I occasionally watch Trading Spaces. I get some ideas there. Cracks me up when they totally hate their new rooms.
I watched all of Frontier House. You must have missed the episode where they killed the pig. The boy was very upset then too. Can't remember if it was before or after the chicken. It really bugged me how much the wealthier family cheated. Then when told they wouldn't have survived the winter, they were mad and said they would have. They couldn't even survive the summer without cheating. Oh well. Definitely watch it when it's on again. They ran the whole series again on Sunday nights, just finished the last one. Keep looking, it was popular and they'll show it again.
