Sounds lovely Celtic! Here in Edmonds, Washington on Puget Sound the crocus have been up for weeks, my daffodils are just opening and the tulips are on their way. Unfortunately it's snowing right now. I want sunshine!

looks like spring has arrived in earnest.
the sun is shining warmly, the yellow daffodils striking in their resplendence against the backdrop of a very bright unclouded blue sky, the warmth of the sun refreshing my face, warming my soul.
the trees are coming out into leaf, springtime flowers are everywhere.. just off for my walk down to the helford river, anyone want to join me?.

Tim, yes Steve knows Mike P, I'll let him know about his mom. Neat that she is leaving but sad about such a long marriage ending.
Thanks

My husband is from Austin and is trying to track down a couple of friends.
Does anyone know Troy Davis? He was divorced and disfellowshipped within the last eight years or so. Is he still in the Austin area? Any help would be appreciated.
We still can't find Mike Atkinson. Last time we heard from him he was tying up loose ends and leaving Santa Fe. His wife Kim remarried, if anyone knows her new name that would be helpful. Kim probably knows where he is.
Thanks for any info! We already have heard the rumor that Mike is gay so you don't have to tell us that.

Whistler is such a neat place to visit. The Sea to Sky highway is incredibly beautiful, we passed lots of lakes and creeks (all frozen over) and had incredible views of the water below. We stayed right in the village where they have everything you could possibly need from liquor and groceries to Starbucks and The Gap. Amazing shopping and a great exchange rate for us Americans. We planned to ski on Monday but it was snowing so hard we opted out. I wasn't interested in skiing in a white out and no one else was all that interested either so we booked a snowshoeing trip instead. It was so much fun! We had a fun guide, a bubbly gal from New Zealand, who took us on a two hour hike straight up Cougar Mountain. I've never been on snowshoes before and it was really amazing. You can climb straight up a cliff on them! The snow was waist deep and we were climbing around trees and huge boulders. Anyway, I highly recommend snowshoeing, it is a lot of fun. The Prince was less than excited about it but admitted that it was really a great time.
The kids were happy to see us come home but have punished us every day that we have been back! They are seriously testing us now.
Has anyone else been skiing at Whistler? The conditions seem to be kind of crummy most of the time. High winds at the top of the mountain, white out conditions, rain. We woke to heavy snow each morning and the village is full of slush. Would be a lot of fun in the summer.

since it hasn't been aired on the west coast yet tonight i won't say who got tossed tonight.
but i was surprised.. ok, how many of you want fake boobs (sarah) to get booted and how many want her to stay?.
personally i think fake boobies makes great tv.
I couldn't believe they voted off the only guy who has a clue. He seemed mighty shocked too.
Fake boobs has to go, she is wasting space there.
The mafia guy thinks he is the real leader.
They now have one good person left and I don't know her name. Dark haired lady.
Even with all the injuries the other team managed to kick their collective ass. This is going to be fun to watch.
The prince is disgusted. He hates Survivor and refuses to watch it with me.

in the netherlands and many other european countries president bush of the united states of america is considered as a man with low intellectual capabilities and a narrow minded unilateral view on the rest of the world who uses one-liners in stead of founded argumentation.
but in the us he is seen by most americans as a wise and great statesman, a marvellous leader in difficult times.. i am interested how jws in congregations from different countries look at president bush although they usually dont openly have an opinion about politicians.
opinions from ex-jws are of course also welcome.. rado vleugel.
How do you know how we feel about our president? Such generalizations are offensive.
I agree with LB.

i have been many places.
a few years ago i left california to move to oregon so life could slow down a bit.
it has and i love it here.
Wow, is Seattle ever the place for you bigboi! Except last week which was sunny and beautiful. Oh and today when it was sunny and we watched all the snow that fell last night melt away...and then snow some more...and then melt away again. Wonder what tomorrow is going to be like...

My son quit crying about it when I told him we'd be bringing back presents. My daughter doesn't understand that we won't be back asap but she'll be fine.
I haven't been skiing in seven years. I understand the equipment has changed so I'm leaving my skis at home (boots don't fit after two kids anyway) and I'm renting at the mountain. Should be fun!
The best thing about going to Canada is all the goodies we get to take home. We stock up on cough syrup w/codeine, tylenol w/codeine and of course the duty free Scotch.
Wahoo!
