Thank god she had the good humor to take a picture! My kids did the same thing but at 3&5 (a few months ago). Much funnier with the two babies! I'm wondering if the black shadows in the background are marker on the rug or just dark toys...poor mom, I wouldn't want to clean that one up.

why do kids love wellies so much?.
we went to buy liam some new school shoes and clothes yesterday and both lads wanted to buy some wellies - liam got green tweenie ones and dylan got red thomas the tank engine ones.. they wore them when we got home and didn't take them off till bedtime.
this morning they are both walking round in their pyjamas and ... wellies.
Love your story Simon! My kids love their's too. I was at the gym today watching it rain while I climbed hundreds of stairs (ugh!) and I was thinking about buying some for myself so the kids and I can go for walks and stomp in puddles. What could be more fun? I think I'll look for a pair this week. Hard to find them for adults around here, but kids are everywhere! My daughters are red and blue with yellow daisies and my son's are green and covered with lizards. Wicked cool boots!
I'm inspired now...gonna buy me some wellies.

yesterday, when farkel announced his departure and shunning of us all, i was incensed and outraged.
in fact i had similar feeling's to those day's 20yrs ago, after being df'd, where former friends and relatives, just simply said 'your no good, your not worthy of my/our attention anymore' turned thier back's and walked away from me.
then witnessed farkel ignore the sweet comments lilac's writes just for him....made we want to ring his neck.
That's amazing Danny, I never thought of it that way. I have always felt like those who post they are leaving are trying to get attention. There posts are always followed by "no no don't leave, we love you...sob sob". I find it detestable. If you want to leave then leave quietly. Eventually we will figure out you are gone and you will be missed but don't make us all beg for you to stay. If they are truly friends, then we have their email or phone numbers and we won't lose touch.
Just my opinion. Thanks for your thoughts Danny, you made some real valid points.

with the 4th anniversary of my parents death looming and the anniversary of their last wedding anniversary party where my family was together and happy for the last time just being past ....i was feeling kind of depressed and wanted to reach out to what family i have left.
i sat there and debated in my mind if i should do it...should i try and reach out to my sister..see if i could reach her across the barrier of the jw religion.
should i try to remind her that we are sisters...we were sisters before we became jws and we will always be sisters.
So sorry to hear you had such a bad day Xena. I was just thinking how neat it was to discover we have so many mutual "ex-friends". You can call me any old time. I'd love to get to know you better!

my wife just called me at work to inform me the same 2 elders that paid us a visit the other night stopped by this morning ( while i wasn't home, of course!).
they said they wanted to talk to her about the way she felt about the organization.
she basically said the same things i did and they told her that there would be a letter of disassociation read at the next meeting.
Wow! She can think on her feet! I'm so impressed with all she told them.
I have copied that awesome letter to have available as well.

we visited angharad's parents at the weekend and got a call on sunday night from her sister who'd been called by my sister as they hadn't been able to contact us .... the message was not a happy one:.
my dad has had a heart attack and was in intensive care in hospital.. it was a while before i managed to speak to anyone over there with people probably out but i eventually spoke to his wife who says he's doing ok and has now been moved to the main ward but is being kept in as you would expect.
he may have to be moved to calgary for some investigation / tests.. he had heart surgery about 15 years ago and i think 4 of his 5 bypasses have failed so he has to take quite a bit of medicine for pain and stuff.
