I watched a Trump rally and got teary eyes although I dont live in the US. It is beautiful to see a Western leader who is not a puppet for the multicultural marxist agenda and yet brings together Americans of many colors

I’m Seeing Some Trump Fatigue Out There
by minimus ini’ve heard from a few trump voters that they are getting tired of the whole trump thing.
one person yesterday said he lies.
another person said she hears from her clients in her business that the constant drama and push back from all sides against trump is fatiguing.. i remind people that before this worldwide pandemic, we had the best numbers in jobs.

Was Mary Magdalene an apostle?
by neat blue dog inthe new article about mary magdalene says:.
the catholic church calls mary .
“the apostle of the apostles” because she was the first to bring news of jesus’ resurrection to the apostles.

Revelation 12:1 makes us think of Eve and Mary but you could certainly argue we honor Paul more. Of course thinking biblically, both are vessels of Jesus carrying forth the Word into the world ☺️

PURITANS - why we need them right now
by Terry inpuritans!.
we need them to help us become more righteous.we need to feel the sting of their whiplash and suffer the tongues of flame, branding irons, and denouncement.why?gosh - we aren't as pure as they are, that's why!.
8th century christian orthodox iconoclasts smashed statues used by catholic christian worshipers - to save them from idolatry.let us us cheer that intervention!

Peaceful protesting is a good thing. In Europe this usually performed by right wing nationalists socalled while left wing protesters yell at them, treathen spit and attack them only occassionally interrupted by halfhearted police interference. That is how peaceful protesting goes on here ☺️

Removing Historic Monuments and Statues - Does the Term "Historical" Make it Right or Wrong?
by RubaDub inafter further review and thought, i really don't see how removing a monument or statue that may be truly offensive to a large group of people is in some way rewriting history.. i think of germany or other parts of europe.
you don't see swastikas on buildings or statues of hitler or mussolini or other upper level generals in public.
would it be good for a person (think jewish) to drive around a city and see hitler in a public park, even though it is "historical?

Wasanelder,
Sounds a bit like the UK being traitors for leaving the EU. I think Merkel might agree with you

Suffering is excellent at teaching us to depend on God, tsunamis are effective ministers, memento mori. This is also why there are so many believers in Africa and Philippines and fewer in the West. When people have it all and things run smoothly they tend to forget God, when people suffer they either turn to God or to depression or sometimes both. I dont think JW teaching accounts for this. Suffering is not seen from a greater spiritual perspective but only something that reminds us we are not in paradise. All hardships are simply things that suck, there is no deeper spiritual meditation in JW.

Overlapping Generation
by pandorasbox1914 inthe september 2015 broadcast had david splane explain matthew 24:34 “truly, i say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place”.
his explanation of this scripture was by means of a chart to indicate an overlapping generation.. .
no scripture was used to show the overlapping generation concept, and as a result it makes no sense.. to illustrate how crazy this concept is, look at the lyrics of the song my generation.. my generation.

Slimboyfat, I remember years ago "wondering with great wonder" how JWs and the vast majority of other dispy movements can ignore that Jesus by "this generation" spoke of his generation. I do remember very faintly how they talked of 1914 and this generation at the meetings. My mother refered to this as "all the speculation" and to my father such JW speculation was part of the divine mysteries that you only got insights on if you stayed close to the Light turned on by Russell😁😁

Would Watchtower Ever Risk Setting Another Date
by Number 6 inthere was a 50 year gap between the failed dates of 1925 and 1975.. memories fade, people die, and who cares what was said 50 years ago.. most jw's now in the religion werent there when 1975 was a thing.
even my mother who was baptized in 1974 who i do remember speaking about it back in the day, can barely remember what the fuss was about.
for active jw's who are doing all there studying online now, its practically impossible to find any wt contemporary reference to 1975.. i read recently (sorry i cant source it right now) that at the time, even watchtower may have taken the view that even if they knew 1975 was wrong, the short term gains would far outstrip those who left leading to an overall net gain so it was a risk worth taking.

We are always living in the last days of something, in this case western civilisation. So they can always spin a story o how bad things are turning. But internet is greatly against them
