  Will God resurrect our beloved pets? What do you think?

  the watchtower doesn't hold out any hope for us ever seeing our beloved animals again.

  i find it very difficult to believe that god -- a god of love -- would refuse to resurrect an animal that we had become so attached to.

  over the years i have bonded with no less than four (4) dogs, all of which were/are like family to me.

  Hi Pallbearer,

  Nothing in the Bible says we will have pets in heaven to my knowledge. Jesus did not die for them om individual basis. But remember we love pets because they reveal comfort and love to us, they are at best blessings to us. We will experience those things perfectly in heaven.

  Well of course the movie had a modern humanistic perspective on election and federal headship. Why save a few? Were there no good people outside? Personally if taken literally I would say how come all the fish were not punished lol. Still I like the gritty look in the old biblical stories. i imagine them more like Conan and Mad Max types than saints. Evil was in the land and God did some cleaning without erasing the ancestors of Adam.

  are you put off with gwyneth paltrow`s marketing of a brand of candles she advertises as "smelling like my vagina " ?.

  she sure has gone down in my estimation as an actress and /or role model for young women if that what she was ever about in the first place .. how gross is that ?

  and the interview i saw after this with her was one big joke ?

  It is only natural when Christianity and restraint goes out of the window that people will be public with such stuff. The sexual organs have been turned into worship objects through time. They still have have such traditions in Japan.

  Sea Breeze,

  Calvinism has some good points. It points out the Christian serves a Sovereign God in control and other stuff that offends the atheist humanist. But of course it does no justice to the fullness of the reconciliation the Sovereign God has in store for mankind

  There is no doubt natural evil draw men closer to God. We see in it fishing communities where people in the old days did not know if they would return from the roaring sea. I remember when we had the Tsunami i Thailand, many people were seeing that as a flood warning from God and judgment against the much immorality there. Certainly, natural disasters in Philippines have not shaken their faith. If you are in danger from natural disasters, you may be compelled to reconcile with your maker.

  Philosophically, it is difficult for men to reconcile the loving Christ with the "Hidden God of creation". God shows his love in his way. Some are vessells of destruction, some are vessels of glory (Romans 9). The answer is the Cross and the Cross the world considers foolishness. Christ urges us to not perish but repent (Luke 13:3)

  Maybe I should clarify I meant what atheism sees as the biggest problem in relation to theism. I am sure you will agree the existence of evil realities is something atheists use in their preaching. Children die of starvation and so it is absurd to believe God hears prayers. So evil fates and our meditation concerning it make the existence of God impossible / absurd.

  I am happy to say I have never believed in free will nor do I know what it is. God chooses, appoints, elects. Creation run its course and God intervenes. We are products of many conditions.
