I might drop by and lurk if they turn towards mainstream and give up ideas about governing body, elders, 1914, Armageddon now, blood, shunning, no birthdays or santa etc.

Would You Ever Go Back To The Witnesses??
by minimus inevery once in a while you hear people say they actually “miss” their old witness friends and or family.
some would have even stayed in the organization if they became a bit more liberal and open minded.

Jordan Peterson - Messiah or Poseur?
by cofty ina jp video came up on my youtube feed last week - he was on a panel in front of a huge audience and some poor disturbed guy ran on stage and started crying and wailing to peterson that he needed his help.
it was agonising to watch.. what was even more disturbing was the comments section.
i do not exaggerate when i say that dozens of people were extolling peterson's wisdom as if jesus had come again.

He is a great speaker and like Milo he defends conservative values in his own way. I agree that Marxism, cultural relativism and the violent SA hordes from antifa is a great threat to the West. -

Actually in 2 Corinthians 5:19 we have again that all things were reconciled in Christ and Paul obviously think of that as salvation. He speaks of the preachers as messengers of the reconciliation.

Ever notice a lot of JWs don't have pets?
by JimmyYoung ini was told by several elders to not get a dog when i was looking for one in the 80s.
the end was close and we needed to focus on the preaching work.
i know some have pets but a lot don't.

Maybe they reckon people will get angry with Jehovah if the pets does not survive Armageddon

Adam could have put Jehovah In Paradox!
by JohnTron72 ini'm going to be the first and throw this out there for others but, from careful study of the scriptures i've found a loophole that even adam who was perfect at the time missed!
i'm sure everyone has heard the conundrum about ,"can god create a rock he can't lift?
" and if he can't create one he can't lift, then god cannot do everything" well that doesn't really matter since we know jehovah says himself he cannot lie right?

Here is an interesting take on forgiving Jehovah that some may benefit from.
It is written by David Sielaf who was an assistent to Earnest L. Martin. Martin was a highranking member of Herbert Armstrong's Worldwide Church of God and dropped out after crisis of consciousness just like Raymond Franz (or Sabin from the UPC).

Reconciliation means to make friends. Colossians 1:20 is saying that God will bring peace and make friends will all, even satan and the demons provided they are rational creatures. The all here are just as universal as in the verses 16-19. As William Barclay, who I dont up on a pedestal at all, he just happens to be universalist, honest in this context, and famous expert in biblical Greek and Hellenism, said, "We must note that Paul says that in Christ God was reconciling all things to himself. The Greek is a neuter (panta, Greek #3956). The point is that the reconciliation of God extends not only to all persons but to all creation, animate and inanimate." This was also the doctrine of Origen, Clement of Alexandria etc. They got it from the Bible and they did not have the concept of "eternal time" back then, so their biblical letters did not speak of eternal punishment . But before this is a reality, we experience seperation and judgments. The human experience on this earth has lasted over 100.000 years and as the old scholar Milton Terry said, it might last a million more. This is also why Paul elsewhere says Jesus is the saviour of all, (but) especially believers 1 Tim 4v10. One funny example is the socalled prodigal son. The Greek says the son perished. He perished but was later given grace.

H Jhine,
Well William Barclay and I disagree ☺️ . We believe all things means all things 🤭
I wonder what reconciliation with sinners means

Jhine,.
So big surprise you do not believe all things means all things in verse 20 but you do in verse 16. Thank you for proving my point though it took a while ☺️
