  From reddit...How old were you when you became a publisher?

  i was six, not given any choice.

  i remember being in the old kh, and my dad told me the brothers wanted to talk to me in the back...i was terrified.

  i actually thought they knew i didn’t want to be a dub, my dad told them to just add me as a publisher, so no back room meeting.

  I remember I was asked out to field service several times as teen. But my mother protected me from some of it, especially when the one asking was a woman in her 20s or 30s. She might have suspected a honeytrap. She was very aware that jw baptism was about enrolling in the jw workforce and being more subject to elder authority

  What was Jesus "anointed" as?

  it is illogical to say that “jesus was anointed as christ”.

  that’s like saying that “jesus was anointed as anointed”.

  the question that needs to be asked is: “what was jesus anointed as?”.

  Jesus does not mean Christ ☺️. The man Jesus was simply annoited as King like Israel kings of old. But his Kingdom is not of this world

  Babylon has fallen...

  could you guys believe this über borg 'friend' ?.

  he says that babylon has fallen because all of the coronavirus restrictions (and the resultant less revenue) are gonna destroy them symbolically.

  so he thinks this are the last, of the last, of the last days.

  There is no way we can understand how there has always been "something". Philosophers of science may try to cook up an explenation. The Bible certainly does not.

  I can well imagine Adam and Eve represents mankind's experience with the effects of sin and loss. Most of us experience a fall in some sense. It is important to notice they were not perfect or knew what they got into with that serpent, knowing not good and evil. They had to experience it. A story has to start somewhere and in the Bible it starts with these archetypes representing man. Perhaps the preceding creation out of chaos represents some earlier civilisation and perhaps Adam and Eve also represents a community following that.

  Hehe, anyone ask a Bible related question and behold the atheist storm from the Netherworld. We know not all ancient people believed in a literal Adam and Eve. The gnostics is one example. But it also has to do with whether the traditional literalist persuasion is true or not. Reading much prophecy becomes quite difficult if you insist on literal interpretations. Of course with the advent of scientific theories about man, it becomes even harder to argue for a literal talking snake and magical trees. I remember my first biblical inclination before even believing was that Genesis 1 is poetry. I sticked on to that ever since adding perhaps John Calvin's view that it is a simple tale for all, the simple minded included so they could get the message too 😉😁

  the wt has embraced the big bang/old earth etc just not evolution.

  in fact the creator book has some decent info.. however i have a good copy of the 1958 paradise book.

  Love, yes amen to that. I recall swedish feminists have made gnarly insensitive comments about swedish victims of Mena violence, something along white people deserving it for past sins. They have a lot to answer for the multicultural marxist psychos if they ever get to pay before the West is completely ruined
