From this far distance in Australia I feel for all the many little business owners who had their lives work and property smashed by mobs. In my understanding there is no insurance coverage for mob violence.
For what its worth I believe all lives matter.
i really don’t know of many people who got into therapy because of their jw dealings but i would think that if someone remains depressed or severely affected by their past witness life, it’s not a bad idea to speak to someone to get you on the right path.
i think this site has been very therapeutic for many over the years..

when you look back , did your witness associates act like normal human beings?
did any of them ever show compassion and feelings for a disfellowshipped person?.
any elders ever try to be kind to you, not “kind” as watchtower organization dictates, but truly kind and caring for you if you were experiencing difficulties?

I saw eight in a v formation one morning at 1130 am flying over town.
They were conical point to the top and flew as if on rails dead steady that is.
a newspaper article quotes a jw as saying "every (letter) i put in the mailbox, i feel, 'ah, this could reach somebody.
'" the article also quotes her as saying "we are accomplishing even more now than we were door-to-door because this way everybody in the house gets a chance to pick up that letter and respond to it.
it just feels good.
At a club meeting the matter of getting jw letters came up and was quickly passed by with various comments along the lines of "Bin material"

the news had mentioned how some stations were charging over $6 a gallon for gas.
they also brought up that the government had promised to come down hard on anyone that was price gouging.. my question is, is it possible to price gouge when there isn't an actual emergency?.
i think there are some benefits to raising prices even in an emergency.
Australia. 98 Ron petrol here is $1.37 a litre. Multiply that by 4.54 to get gallon s price.apx 6.22 a gallon.
As i said to an American friend years ago "we do litres as we cant afford to pay for it in gallons"

the thread about old timers got me thinking about trends i see with the watchtower.
i've changed my opinion about where the organization stands.
when i joined the religion in 1973 it was dynamic, even the small congregation i attended sent out three or four pioneers.
