I just wanted to say that maybe the Pentecostals in my country are different to what you all are accustomed too. If i thought that they were so uptight i wouldn't even think about going. In my country, they are very easy going and play a lot of music. lol.........Maybe i'm just making up excuses because i really want to go but i know that you all are right.

It will be nice to see if the have love among themselves. Also, i haven't read my Bible or prayed much since realising the truth about JW'S. Maybe this will give me some motivation to do it and try to get to know God. (Yes, i do believe in God)

I just really want to see how they are.

So, a good friend of mine, a Pentecostal Christian, invited me to go to a retreat with her church. We're the same age-19 years. We were friends before i became a Witness and she was always patient and caring with me especially throughout my arrogant spell as a Witness. I always admired her as a person. In fact, i could never believe or understand how a loving God could destroy a lovely person like her for not being a Witness. I was always jealous of her love, her faith and even her relationship with her God.

So she has invited me to come to her church's retreat. She says that there will be a lot of young people and it is a three day retreat. I told her that i will talk it over with my mom.

I feel very nervous. I want to go but i'm scared at the same time.

I don't know if you plan on telling the elders or have already done so. I just want to tell you that i am not crazy or mentally diseased. I am just learning how to think.

My doubts started a while back and i know that you have doubts also or you wouldn't be here. Do you remember when we were talking about how burdensome pioneering is? WE were wondering how it could be so burdensome yet Jesus said it would be light and refreshing, right? That's because Jesus isn't involved.

I feel so lost right now. I'm not even going to lie and tell you that every thing is perfect. But i would rather be lost and hope that I truly find my way than close my eyes and beg my mind to believe a lie.

Listen, everything is not right. You know that. We spoke about many things. I'm not trying to lure you out but we were really good friends. I tried speaking with the CO, the elders, older brothers and sisters in the congregation and you even told me to try a fleece test. None can answer deut. 18:22
