The Animal Sentience Bill - what next?

cows, even lobsters now have been recognised to have feelings.. first of all, let me say that if you want to go vegan that's fine with me.

Animals do have feelings. But one has to have reasonable lines. Its abhorrent to torture animals. Dog fights, cock fights even Greyhound racing is a brutal sport. But lets take the reducto ad absurdom point of view. Do you have to feel for a red ant hill that you are dumping poison on? Or that Mosquito you swat on your arm? Its up to you but its insane to feel the same way about a mosquito as you would say a puppy. It would turn any normal persons stomach to see some sicko hang a cat by the tail and throw stones at it. Or to toss gas on a dog and light it on fire. One would have to be a very sick and IMO someone who should be just shot if they thought this was cool or entertaining. But the world is full of sick people. I am in favor of standards in the meat industry to make the process as humane and pain free as possible. Personally I have not eaten red meat for 18 years. Its not that I don't love a good steak but red meat is one of the worst things you can eat.
I had many of my family who died with heart blockages due to eating high fat, I.E. Butter, dairy, eggs, red meat. My wife worked at a Dr. office. And she had seen several people who were in need of heart bypass surgery. several of them went on a no fat diet. Really limiting any fat intake. No trans or saturated fats. They said some will always get through but you limit it as much as possible. Most of them after a year of doing this did not need surgery any longer.
I am 60 now and I had my arterys checked by my GP and he said they are very clean and should be good till the end. My wife and I eat a little Chicken White meat only and fish and then its limited. We use it to flavor food dishes not as some do with a heaping plate of meat for dinner.
I used to hunt deer, Bear and Pronghorn even wild boar. But it does not bring me pleasure to kill things. I get much more joy out of watching the deer in my yard. This is not to say I will not dispatch the odd animal that is causing issue. If I have a coon that is attacking my feral cat I take care of, I have a 22 suppressor and in my sub I will end that thing right there. No pleasure taken but I had to pay 180 for surgery for my cat for an abscess he got in a coon fight.
I also have a rule that if it does not have hips it dies if I can kill it. So all snakes will be dispatched in my yard. Copperhead and gardener snake they all die. Sorry but that is the way it is. I also have black widow spiders, and the occasional fiddle back. I spray for them and ants but as stated above, I do not put insects on the level of puppys or cats, or other animals.

Now my MIL is in Palliative care and the state is paying for her keep, My FIL lives in a dilapidated home and can not keep it up. I know of many who did not save, and instead of working extra jobs to put some money away for retirement.
One elder I knew never saved and now at 74 he has to work two days a week or so at building maintenance to make ends meet. Another elder who was a drywall hanger did not save a dime. Some of the brothers who had a building business would give him charity work painting small jobs they had. I ended up buying his home because he was going to lose it to the bank. I lived in it for a couple of years and sold it. He and his wife applied for a FMHA loan and got it. You will never pay it off but it will be low payments based on income.
The cult is pushing this again. Quit jobs work building the cult projects and give your dog away. So in this tread post your known stories of JWs who are now living a crap life in their old age because of the cult

If people willingly give their money after all the BS the cult has put out, telling them to quit jobs not to get an education for a better job then wants money they get the life they deserve. My father in law is living that life now. He has only SS and not a dime of his own saved. His wife is in the hospital on palliative care and the state is paying for it because he has nothing and his and her home will be taken by the state when they are both gone for partial repayment. Its a shit home also. The basement is a swimming pool and foundation is not in good shape. I don't really feel that bad for them. I tried for years to tell them to save for the future but I was told they would never die, and I did not know what I was talking about.

Look its real simple. Hollyweird and the leftist idiots tell us gun owners all the time that we need safety classes and licenses to own a gun and keep it in a safe ect. Why the fuck does Hollyweird or California not have a rule or law that on set there is to be no live ammo on the set period and if they have to have it for any reason, there needs to be two firearms prop-masters that only do firearms and are licensed by the gov and a special permit is issued. I get real guns are used with blanks to make it realistic. But heck I have been around guns for 50 years plus and some air soft guns make me take a few looks to now that they are not real. So why not make quality high end copies of real guns for the movies for non firing and others that fire special blanks that will not take real bullets. A whole new industry and jobs would pop up. Or expand existing business. Hollyweird needs to put their money where their mouth is.

You are wrong. Defacing money means to try to do it to defraud. Like ripping off the end of a 10 and put it on a 1. You may ask what does that get you, well you can turn in a torn bill for a new one if its 3/4 there. So do that to two tens and tape the ten ends on to a one and it will pass 99 percent of the time. I got one at a bank once. People who cut quarters and dimes to make jewelry are not defacing.
