nice play with this one WTS!
today, thanks to a brave do and my colleague elkatire 1980, we make make public the manual, guidelines for traveling overseers (tga-s), of which existence many suspected, but even in english, it wasnt available.. from its very title page, this book indicates in bold letters:.
it should not be shown to others, nor should any portion of it be reproduced.
note: for now, this book is only available in spanish, but we are working in translating a brief summary in english, hoping that someone from the english congregations makes it available to you soon.. http://hildeydesa.blogspot.com/2014/06/pautas-para-los-superintendentes.html.

would love to know why they aren't on the jw.org.. any ideas?.
it's a bit sad but i still listening to them.
i feel quite industrious when they are on so get the housework done..
i find the new song book a real sleeper. vast majority are somber, mono-tone, boring. where's the "WE'RE JEVOVAH'S WITNESSES!!" and the good ol' victory song?? (CHIPMUNK VOICE) but the bible gives US a reason for cheer....
the introduction & conclusion to this video is in german, but david splanes' words are loud and clear in english - get your kid baptized asap!.

If you don't think dressing a 5-year old in a suit and punshing him if he doesn't sit still for 2 hours is cruel, then we're just going to have to agree to disagree.
I didn't say anything about punishing them. I said its not cruel for kids to be made to be quiet and respectful for 2 hours. I disagree with punishment for something like that.
Cofty - yes I was born in. And no, I didn't like sitting at meetings. But I didn't like sitting in school from 9am to 3:45pm everyday from age 5 to 18 either but I did that too. was that cruel? And please don't make a strawman by comparing the usefulness or benefit of each, that's not the issue.
I understand we all have our issues with the Org. but seriously, not all churches have sunday school for kids, lots of kids sit quietly in church, lots of kids sit quitly in school, and lots of adults work in a respectful work environment. Why are some so quick to point a finger solely at the WTS without considering all the others they are implicating with their accusal?

the teachings of the WTS are total BS, but I don't agree that learning to sit and be attentive for a couple hours is cruel. I think this teaches maturity to kids, and respect. Which is lacking in many western children.
IMHO immigrants with stricter cultural respect for their parents/elders are much better students and far more respectful and successful as contributors to society than their western counterparts
i was going to say "i could do with a leak" but that would sound wrong.
so i'll rephrase, has anyone got a leaked copy of the new dvd released at the district sorry regional convention this year?.
i would think DVD's are much cheaper to produce than books. And of course once its online they never have to commit to reprints.
what are the JW's going to study in 5 years? Caleb videos? I suppose by then you'll be counseled for not having a tablet at all times since so much of our "spiritual food" will be internet based.
100 years of Jesus enthronement celebrated with a website app.
i don't understand why so many ex jws and faders think that the jws will continue to grow and thrive as a religion.
i still attend a meeting once a week and you can smell the death of the religion creeping up when you hear the talks, read the study wts and hear the letters from the gb.
the way the organization has changed is a sign that it reached its peak (in "healthy" membership) long ago.
the org has survived so much in the past,,,, but..... the internet has only been big for the past 20 years or so. a generation of young adults that have never known a world without the internet now exists and they are spawning a 2nd generation of cyber dwellers.
the generation of kids entering grade school will never know a time when they couldn't IMMEDIATELY verify a fact.... or disprove a false one.
All those fanciful antitypes that Freddie used to dazzle the R&F with are gone. They could never get away with such garbage today. If 2/3's of kids are leaving the org today, imagine in 20 years how bad that number will be
woj
PS - nice quote Vanderhoven
recently, my mother, who had stopped talking to me because i was 'apostate,' started speaking to me again.. (note that i successfully faded as opposed to ever being disfellowshipped due to dodging every elder question with "i'm not sure, i'm still searching and trying to find the answers.").
the reason why?
at the international convention this year, they receieved a new video called something or other.
"yes, all of these other things make sense, but ignore them all, emotional appeal, everyone is happy in the end!" This is literally what they're producing now.
even the magazines follow this same model of appealing to emotion in the face of undeniable fact. maybe a 3 years ago there was an article on space and the big bang and evolution. The argument was basically if the universe wasn't created by Jehovah then our lives are without greater purpose. Can you imagine?!
there is no sense trying to argue with science cause there is just too much evidence out there. Too much flow of information. They can't debate science and win so they appeal to emotion. It's all they have left..... scare the shit out of their believers.
dear friends.
i never was a dub.
i am not a qualified lawyer or accountant.
This could equal billions of dollars net gain on the Society's books.
this is about getting money OFF the books. purely donated funds from month to month are not assets
they are trying to "look" poor while guarenteeing their revenue stream.
breaking news :charity commission takes watchtower to charity tribunal in britain.
two weeks ago we run an article about the abuse case in moston manchester congregation .it would seem that the coverage from the main local newspaper manchester evening news and two national newspapers has alarmed the charity commission the official regulator for charities in england and wales and now for the first time !
they opened an official investigation on both charities ,the local one ,moston congragation and the central one jehovah's witnesses of britain indicating that in their eyes these two are connected and liable for any misconduct .this is the time for a concentrated campaign from all of us to inform the charity commission why the watchtower should not be a called a charity .the article above has a link for the charity commission complaint page .follow it!.
substantial movement of capital (or at least a transfer on balance sheets) which may substantially affect potential damages/compensation claims against the organisation.
BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!
interesting podcast to listen to.
exjws go head to head with ex-mormons on which religion is weirder.
they had judges that determined who won.. http://mormonexpression.com/2014/06/16/episode-258/.
i always took comfort knowing that at least the mormons were weirder than us! I have to disagree, while both are at the top of the weird scale, my opinion is 1 - Scientology 2 - Mormons 3 - JW's
