Is this new donation arrangement for real?

just read a post on jwsurvey about the new donation arrangement.

congregations are to pledge a monthly amount to be sent to the society to fund the building of assembly halls and kingdom halls.

congregations who already have a loan from the society will no longer have to pay back the loan but the amount pledged should not be less than the current monthly repayments to the society.

Looking at it from a business perspective though (which no JW does) it only makes sense as your base shrinks in developed nations and is expanding in poor uneducated countries.

all one has to do is look at everything from a business perspective and nothing the WTS is doing comes as any surprise.

- name changes, eliminating DO's, internalizing RBC's, donation arrangements for tax purposes, "free" mortgages that really cost cong's indefinitely, renting CA halls 52 weekends per year, streaming talks, JW.org, tablets & ipads at the KH instead of printing books, reducing mags, thinning mags, videos only online, no more hard covers, etc.

all these things are BUSINESS decisions and have NOTHING to do with god or preaching or anything theocratic.

- shorter public talks make some KH's capable of having 4 meetings per day instead of only 3,

- no book studies free's up lots of KH time where book studies were held at the KH and makes books last WAAAAAY longer for studying. Now they only need to print a book a year or less instead of 2 or more. Or brochures for that matter that may take months to complete instead of weeks the old way.

It's so easy to see the changes coming when you see the BOrg for what it is.... A BUSINESS!!!!!!!

but to me this just shines a light on the word-smithing the WTS does when it comes to Jesus as a mediator.

Blodie makes several quotes, terms like: "susbsidiary government", "High Priest", "Ransomer", but never "mediator". yet the OP quoted the WTS:

earthly children. All of God’s sons in

heaven and his children on earth will be

united with their heavenly Father as part

of his universal family.

They are talking about those on earth (not anointed) at the end of the 1000 years. Call me crazy but I feel like we have fallen victim to the WTS word-smithing here (as in "bullshit baffles brains") No where in the quotes Blondie made was there any discussion of Jesus as a "MEDIATOR", we have only made this connection, but this is exactly the game the WTS plays.

We all know that Jesus is NOT the mediator for the non-anointed. but lets face it, most R&F don't even realize this. So how can the WTS make the statement in the OP and not expect the average R&F to make the connection that Jesus is in fact their mediator?

I think this is a clever find, its and easter egg, one of those ambiguous statements the WTS makes that they can footnote years down the road if they change direction, or forget about and leave buried forever if they don't

we always here about how the "spiritually weak" start with reducing comments, then reducing service, then missing meetings, then coming off the school, etc etc,

but really, i think the first thing that goes is the singing. I always look to see who isnt singing and who keeps their eyes open during the prayer.... I always wonder if the non-singers & prayer-eye-openers are fellow freeminds

whenever I hear teenagers (usually boys) struggle their way through a verse at the KH, stopping, pausing, re-reading, misreading.... basically taking 5 minutes to read 1 or 2 verses, I get so angry at the parents. Yes some kids have legitimate issues, but so many are just victims of their parents apathy about education and neglect.

If 3 years olds can read this well (although I think the japanese/chinese pressure on youth to excel borders on abuse) then no teenager has any excuse

Joining a Church and advice from co-workers!!!!!!!!!!

so im obviously out mentally....i havent da-ed but i cant care less!

but.....my co workers are encouraging me to find and join a church.

this person is particularly "wisdomonian" meaning she seems to solve and assist many an ailing indicidual in my field.

sorry to say this but your OP makes you sound overly eager to have acceptance by a church. This is why so many fall victim to the JW's

I think you need to take some time and apply a little skepticism to your decision process before coming on to an anonymous forum looking for the approval of people you don't know about major life decisions.

Will firing the DOs be the first step to a new Watchtower?

against my better judgement, i've decided to share the following as a response to guy pierce passing and the announcement of the elimination of district overseers later this year.. late in january (2014) i got an email from one of my contacts (a fader) who served at bethel for several years, but is no longer at wt hq.

he still has a lot of close contacts within the service department and in other departments at patterson and knows people in all of the ny offices.

i kept this email set aside on a flash drive and haven't shared it with anyone - figuring i'd publish an article about it later this year when i had more time to do it right.

"appointed = annointed" - this one is easy to beleive even now. Any brother appointed would have little trouble believing they are actually anointed by Jah already without realizing it. But ultimately, the GB is giving themselves authority to anoint men on Jehovah's behalf. - but of course they would never come out and say that, they will just cleverly let him think he really is anointed and the holy spirit has made it know by way of the appointment

144,000 becoming symbolic - ABSOLUTELY! I believe this 100% As far as becoming only men...... I have a hard time seeing this get past the 2/3's vote. This would mean a LOT of back peddling over 140 years of Watchtower mags. Don't get me wrong, I see the advantages to the GB to make such a change, but my great-great-Aunt Maybell who pioneered for 50 years and died at the ripe ol' age of 101 is NOT of the anointed? She's NOT in heaven? I DON'T THINK SO BUDDY!!

I think making it symbolic will give them the room they need to make all the "anointments" they want. Besides, the R&F already look at new partakers as looney-tunes now, an appointed to a high position by the GB would be just about the only way for the R&F in the local cong. to take him seriously.

HERES MY BIG SPECULATION - Blood will become a conscience decistion.

In many ways it is already. You said that changes are snuck in right under our noses? This is absolutely the case with blood.. "any fraction is acceptable", blood is not a DF'ing offence but the offenders statement of disassociation, the statement to the European human rights that no sanctions are placed on members that use blood. Blood is just too difficult to defend. This is a huge thorn in the WTS's side. I has to go

seems to support so much of what us "apostates" have been predicting. Perhaps the WTS is not so clandestine after all.

That point about paying attention to changes that "happen right under your nose".... that is so true! How many times are subtle paragraphs slipped into an article and then left alone for 5 years or more before being dragged out into the light as a footnote to a big new whopper of a WT sudy? Then "wow, I guess we've sort of believed this alread for years!"

What do you think are the future doctrine changes will be?

the whole organization is going through huge and big changes.

it can be seen by names of departments, to how things function and teaches.

my questions to you is, what do you think the future changes will be, both in teaching and organizational matters?.

I gotta be honest with you depressedsoul, I think you missed the mark on every one of your points

1914 - this has been reinforced even as of the infamous july 15, 2013 WT. While the ubiquitisness of its importance is diminishing it is still the "go to" year for JW's and the defining moment of truth for JW's

Disfellowshipping - this will become (and is already) a key tool in the hands of the Org. The redefined "no longer a JW" will be applied less formally to various behaviours causing JW's to even shun those that are not officially DF'd. The "no longer a JW" will be applied to inactive ones, those who have studied but never baptized, those who don't go to meetings anymore, etc. It's already the means by which the society DF's JW's that take blood.

Blood Issue's - Blood will be a conscience decision by or before 2025

Elders - elders are the engine of the BOrg. They NEED elders. They will be policed more, but they will always be the backbone of the org. Without elders in the face of the R&F guilting them into servitude, the org would fall apart.

Less focus on the "end" - ironically the exact opposite is happening. the society is cleverly removing imminent dates and replacing with "unknown periods of time" while at the same time coming up with rediculuos ways to convince people the end is still sooooo close.... like "were in the second part of the overlapping generation" crap. They extended the one generation to a century old, then when its two generations they try to shorten it back down. such bullshit.
