  i could make comments about her being a dumb blonde but i won't, do to the fact that my own daughter is blonde, pretty, and intellegent.

  but this girl and her school system where she supposedly got an education should be ashamed.

  if this were my daughter or one of my students..........i would hang my head!

  Question about profanity...

  i noticed the "terms of use" prohibits us from posting anything "profane.

  " i want to post the letter i'm writing to my 20 year old daughter as she leaves home for the first time this week, and it contains a couple of words that--although used properly--are certainly considered profane.

  i'm quite certain i've seen others post some of these words, used in a non-violent or threatening way.

  I'm quite certain I've seen others post some of these words, used in a non-violent or threatening way.

  It's quite possible for some violations of Posting Guidelines to slip through unnoticed - struth, mate, mods are human, y'know!

  Generally swear words, as in the "F" word and the "C" word will automatically be edited out.

  (Now what do we do with Abaddon's post above? Y'know, he luvs the word! You have to love the Dutch! )

  How do you deal with this feeling of emptiness?

  this feeling that you have seen it all, that there's nothing more in the universe to live for.... i know that it is rubbish, i know it's related to post-exit syndrome.... but how do you deal with it now?.

  it's just so ridiculous to have the feeling that you're life is over at 19... but i can't help it.. help me!.

  G'day Deus Mauzzim,

  What you describe resembles the effects of depression which leaves one with a simply awful feeling - as if your whole spirit has drained out, leaving you immobile, able to do nothing.

  I hope, really hope, it doesn't come to that, but you have removed a very significant part of your life - the vacuum needs to be filled.

  For countering depression, the medicos recommend being active in the outdoors etc etc much like our friend Jeff has recommended above - sounds a good start!

  Also remember that, like Mulan has pointed out, some people wait all their lives to get to the point you're already at!

  I hope that in time, you can really enjoy your walk along freedom's road.
