  Honest Questions About Child Abuse

  i have two honest questions for everyone here.

  i understand that most here want retribution from the courts against watchtower for child abuse allegations.

  but let us take away the instances where someone was accused of child abuse and then later put back into a position of authority, such as an elder or an ms. let us just take the cases where a regular publisher or even an appointed person, with no previous accusation of child abuse has come up against that person.

  Sparrowdown- My question still stands. Lets take this case in Louisiana where the law bars a member of the clergy from going to the authorities with knowledge of child abuse if it was given during a confession.....RO

  Also, everyone here wants contradictory things. They want the congregation to have the duty to protect and warn but at the same time you demand that the congregation not delve into what each one of you do. You don't want them any control over anyones life except you want them to protect everyone from each other.....RO

  How long does it take to get a response from the branch office?

  i know they're busy, but while reading through the shepherd textbook, it says to write to them quite a few times.

  so if a body of elders write to the branch office, whats the usual wait time for a response?

  they peaked in the form they were, i believe they were already falling apart in ways, but from the outside and to the majority r&f, things likely still seemed on the up and up.

  browsing through the boards and just keeping my finger on the pulse of what's happening, this organization will never again be what it was.

  IMO, virtually every passive-ass component of the Org's abuse-related policies reinforce my suspicion that there are abusers (past or present) currently imbedded in the hierarchy, possibly right up to the top.....Vidiot

  ...and that as far as the Org is concerned, this "revelation" would be downright "apocalyptic"......Vidiot

  The monumental problem they have now,is of no concern to your average JW..

  If it was found out there were pedophiles at the top of the WBT$..
