Honest Questions About Child Abuse

i have two honest questions for everyone here.

i understand that most here want retribution from the courts against watchtower for child abuse allegations.

but let us take away the instances where someone was accused of child abuse and then later put back into a position of authority, such as an elder or an ms. let us just take the cases where a regular publisher or even an appointed person, with no previous accusation of child abuse has come up against that person.

They want the congregation to have the duty to protect and warn but at the same time you demand that the congregation not delve into what each one of you do. You don't want them any control over anyones life except you want them to protect everyone from each other.....RO

How long does it take to get a response from the branch office?

does any one have any experience with writing to the branch office?

i know they're busy, but while reading through the shepherd textbook, it says to write to them quite a few times.

so if a body of elders write to the branch office, whats the usual wait time for a response?

A Comforting Thought About Watchtower

they peaked in the form they were, i believe they were already falling apart in ways, but from the outside and to the majority r&f, things likely still seemed on the up and up.

IMO, virtually every passive-ass component of the Org's abuse-related policies reinforce my suspicion that there are abusers (past or present) currently imbedded in the hierarchy, possibly right up to the top.....Vidiot

Sisters running microphones?

so our sunday meeting was on the 25th (christmas) and my active jw wife and i were out of town enjoying some family time with relatives.. apparently there were many others in our congregation that missed as well.

so few were there in fact that sisters ran the mics.

(actually it was a sister running one of the two mics) a friend of my wife commented to her about how the brothers just aren't stepping up and it "makes her want to cry.
