We are imperfect..
What is a good response for that situation when told that..
IF YOU TRULY BELIEVE THAT..
i can't tell you how many times i have heard this while growing up as a witness.
every time i questioned hypocrisy in the org i was told " well we are imperfect" and its was beyond annoying.
at what point does "imperfect" turn into just not christian?

shepherd the flock page 91. i remember this is one of the first things that concerned me as an elder because it seemed to sound like a person is guilty until proven innocent rather than 'love believes all things', especially given the word 'convinced' appears in bold.. then in a training video one elder said something like 'unless we are convinced of repentance the shepherd the flock book says we must disfellowship'.
that was the begining of the end for me as i thought surely true christians would reason the other way round and show mercy wherever possible.. any thoughts?.
You may not like this but in the JW org, sins are defined by the Bible as interpreted by the wt.
The JC, like it or not, has power and authority over JW members granted to them by the wt to adjudicate cases involving wrongdoing by jw members.....fisherman
Most JW`s are too stupid to be ashamed of themselves..

hi all, just recently i was thinking about the period of my study and eventual baptism as jw.
it took many years, i guess in all about 10 years.
various times i stopped the study but after a while it started again.
In countries where there is a NWT, it is an unwritten rule to use the NWT when studying the WT or participating in the WT study etc......menrov
i went to www.sensibus.com and they have 160 different kinds of cheese.
i just do not know which cheese i want to order.
any suggestions?
What kind of cheese do you like?
Cheese That Sings!
in their sick and twisted bubble that they live in, the jehovahs witnesses clearly have no idea about the logistical nightmare of disposing of 7.5 billion corpses.. when i heard an elder once say that it will be a joy to clear away the wicked from the earth, he actually had a smile on his face.. can they even begin to imagine what 7.5 billion dead men, women, children & babies looks like?.
"let the eye feel no sorrow".
sick bastards..
Do they know what 7.5 billion dead bodies look like?
Of Course..
Watchtower has shown JW`s what Armageddon will be like..
It will be very Cartoonish..
It Will Look Like a Scene Out Of a Batman Movie..

in the 1960`s when i was a new convert , a 20 year old , i devoured the book "jehovahs witnesses in the divine purpose" outlining the early history of the restoration of true christianity in the world.it helped to convince me then that this was indeed the true religion......not that i remember much of the details it contained nowadays .. i understand there was a poor attempt to mimic it with the " proclaimers " book a much sanitized version of the early history of the jw religion.
what reputable organization in the world ,secular ,religious or otherwise ,doctors their own early history/ beginnings unless they have something to hide or are ashamed of.. how many jw`s today would know that they were formed as the " international bible students association" in the late 1800`s , or that their first president of that association was none other than w.h.conley ,and not c.t.russell.. does it even matter ?
does anybody really care ?.
Are Jehovah`s Witnesses of today, aware, or even care about their early history of the 1800`s ?
hey look!!
new topic due to new topic direction - immigration rather than economic - of course they might be related.... you often hear that in the us the jw growth is in the foreign language congregations.
which is interesting because..... 25% of jw's are first generation immigrants (ie born abroad).
25% of US JW's born outside US
I`ll Never Let Them Become President..
You Can Count On That folks!..I`m Building a Wall..
IT`S GOING TO BE YUUUGGGGGGGGGGE!..
