WT Nov 4 Study Article - Damage Control??

just been given this watchtower and found the 2nd study article very interesting..... is this the societies damage control to panorama and dateline?.

para 8 onwards says...... 8 satan tries to break our integrity through the sowing of doubts about what we have been taught.

Did you notice the taboo they once again place on e-mail/internet? Since this seems to be an effective means of reaching a large amount of people fairly easily, no wonder they are starting to give e-mail/internet a bad name. Slowly put it into the minds of the Dubs that anything placed on or abtained via these means needs to be questioned. Soon anything found on the computer will be completely false and a means of Satan to test our faith. Where do these idiots get this obsurd thinking from? Even when information is on news sites or official pages this will be viewed as satan's information. (I forgot the fact that anything non-JW is Satan oriented, Sigh)

Actually, when I told my parents of some of the stuff I've learned, they immediately asked, "where did you get that information, the internet?" My parents don't even have a computer.................it's already begun folks.

I think they're really starting to panic. How much more can they shelter their followers? Will they soon all move to the Patterson farm so that they have NO contact with "the world"? They are definately gearing up to have the Dubs disregard the massive protest that's going to come right to their front door via Silentlambs. You can bet nearly every Borg member, after reading this article, will apply it to the march on the 27th. Fortunately this is cult specific material only. It means nothing to non-dubs.

I learned never to hide anything in your room. Parents didn't like finding 4 cases of beer lined down the narrow empty space under my bed. Don't hide Playboy's under your mattress. I learned there's always a witness watching you. There were sooo many blue mustangs on the road but it was always me in the one that was speeding. (boggle) Being best friends with the POs son gave you a lot of leniency. Children who were home schooled were REALLY WIERD. A 2 year old could give a one word answer that nearly blew out the sound system. A MS' hot wife could constantly do front yard work in a bikini top and cheek showing shorts on a main street. If you were the POs son, came home drunk, and puked on your dad when he opened the door you wouldn't get in trouble. BAH time to go home from work, I could have thought of a few more.

" we are the cause of our destruction *(it's quoted different in the bible) / i believe that 9/11 was a bad day, we cry & mourn & move on, we get over it, i got over 9/11 in under 24 hours & to be honest i'm sick of hearing about it.... now i also understand that millions was not paying attention before 9/11 & they still aint paying attention.. if people would wake the hell up and read the bible they would already know that god already warn us to listen to him, and be on guard 24/7 cause that devil which we call satan exist and on the move to overthrow billions........ where is your faith?

jesus clearly said that not to sorrow for the dead, cause they will get resurrected when the messiah comes back- john 5 verse 28,29.. so get over it and heed jesus words....

Get over 9/11. Sure ignore that anything is wrong. Who cares that our nation was attacked?! Billions of dollars pulled out of the stock market by Saudi investors not to mention the loss of 16 acres (times 110 stories) of office space. Ohh the 3000 people who died....who cares? I do ASSHOLE! If I offend anyone with that comment I apologize.

Your whole basis of thinking is that God is going to rule soon and that death is insignificant because you'll be resurected. Sorry my friend, when you're sitting on your death bed, as you soon will, you'll wonder why God never took over, how come all you worked for and believed in never happened (this generation will not pass away). My grandmother is 84 looks like she's going to pass away without seeing everything she believed in. The same will happen for you.

Noone should be sick of 9/11. It's kind of attitude that will allow something like that to happen again and prevent national support to invade and overthrow governments who can't understand the idea of a benifical global economy. I'm sick of bleeding heart liberals who cry for the rights of these people who think that dying, killing westerners, is going to make them blessed in the after-life. I'm still waiting to hear from someone who's been there (after-life). Your head is so far up your ass no wonder you can't see anything. You, like the rest of the apathetic world and religious fanatics, should be placed on another planet. Sure we'd still have problems but they'd be greately diminished.

I enjoyed the comment about announcing the 30k? or whatever fine at the business portion of the ministry school. My poor 84 year old, JW for life, grandmother was teling me the other day..................."Look at the Catholics, all the trouble they're in. All the money they have."

Well, yes, I was an asshole. I said JWs have milloins fo dollars, it just came out. That was mean I shouldn't confuse her it, just came out. As petty as the fine may be, Jehovah's Organization prides itself as being without spot/or reproach as compared to other "worldly" organizations.

well guys, i just cant do it.

for a long time now i have been trying to get on with my life and try to forget the rage and hurt i feel at the wtbs.

my resignation from the board a few weeks back was part of this.

I thought I could not go on either, I had not gone to the KH for 10 years. I guess I just ignored or tried to forget. Recently I've taken a pro active approach and tried to be objective and learn about JWs. For those ten years I would still go to the memorial, I suppose cause I still believed it was "the truth". Since I've gotten informed by sites like this and reading,,,,,I've made a firm decision to never step foot into a KH again!

My family is 4th generation JW so the ties are strong. Yes there is anger because you want your loved ones to "open their eyes". Though you have anger, do you not feel relief that you know what deception and changing of views this proclaimed pure and true organization has? Take comfort in that.

Look at the larger picture, you have potentially 6 billion people to chose your friends from, not 6 million. Obvousely you have more common sense than the rank & file because you learned what's really going on in the Borg. Trial and error and taking chances are risky. You may get burned or have great results. Either way, YOU made those decisions to mold YOUR future and will be a better person because YOU CHOSE to do them and WEREN'T TOLD!

Don't think of your time spent in the Borg as a waste, you did what you were doing because you thought it was right at the time. Now you know different and use it to your advantage.

hi to everyone on this board - i have been around reading many of your posts for some time now but have only just felt strong enough to post my own thoughts.

the watchtower has left me with guilty feelings that i find hard to cope with at times.

my story in the "truth" started when i was 18 years old.

Warm welcome GT! I had been away from the troof for near ten years but only recently started to search for information on JWs as you have. Keep digging it's not all forgeries and deceptions by those only intent to bring down the WTBTS, as they lead you to believe. Many things you'll find are indeed REAL and TRUTHFUL.

I suggest picking up a copy of Crisis of Conscience and check out the threads on JWs in the news. Again Welcome. TT
