Circuit Accounts Servants Confesses how the SCAM WORKS!!
by JT inyes, i too have wondered how an assembly that is held in a fully paid for assembly hall, with no food service, could possibly have $10,000 in expenses.
i suppose the bethel speakers have transportation expenses - maybe $1000 or so.
as for rent on the assembly hall, well you have already paid for it once, why pay again?

Wow. The rabbit hole goes deeper and deeper. Curiouser and Curiouser.
I remember all the times of the Deficit Announcement, feeling absolutely wretched for not having donated enough and feeling compelled to donate more. In fact, all around, even outside of donations, I was made to feel like a bad person for never doing enough. I felt like the wicked, lazy servant who hid his master's mina...and I had so bloodguilt because I didn't go door-to-door enough, and when I did, I didn't do a good enough job. People were going to die because of me. No wonder I felt doomed for destruction!
And after natural disasters (like the Tsunami), I felt relieved knowing that if I dropped money in the contribution box, the Society would help those poor people! Why bother sending money directly? What a fool I was!
Does anyone have any idea as to where all the money goes? Who are the ultimate beneficiaries?
I'm sure many can speculate, but is there any way to move beyond speculation?

Ah, are you referring to the resident self-proclaimed Messiah on the board? I've wondered if he is doing a parody.

Free Will....y
by snare&racket inif you unknowingly went back in time 5 hours and relived that time... would everything that took place, take place again?.
would you make the same decisions?.
you would make the same choices, for the same reason you made them in the first place.. how can you punish someone for making a decision they were always going to make?.

If any mechanism of our decision-making has even a toehold in the quantum realm, the uncertainty principle would seem to indicate some of our decisions may be different each time. Of course, I am speculating. But since we have a 5-hour time machine already, my speculation is as good as any other. :)

For the benefit of all new lurkers, I think we should keep bumping this thread to the top every few weeks or so. I consider it the most valuable one of this board.

I am starting to believe Rutherford and those in his circle, like Woodworth and company, had severe mental issues. Perhaps they were bipolar...only with no medical treatment. They seem to have had delusions of grandeur for sure. Failed prediction did not humble or deter them--it was full steam ahead on the crazy train (aka the Behemoth), spewing ever more nonsense. Denying gravity seems to be the height of hubris--greater than the fear of aluminum, vacinations, ERS devices, and radium belts...
They say one in a hundred is psychopathic. Sometimes I wonder if this applied to Rutherford...a vicious, headstrong, disagreeable tyrant.
The sad thing is that Rutherford's Ghost is going strong, effecting millions of lives even today.

by confuzzled777 inafter almost 2 years of being wrongfully disfellowshipped and over a year after finding this site....i am starting to read crisis of conscience.
i will not lie....i am a bit nervous as to what information i will find in the book.
i have a strong feeling that i will end up crying through most of it as i will start to see the truth about the "truth".

I just finished ISOCF on Monday...which is even more profound.
The last few chapters, the outline he put forth for practicing Christianity, free of dogma, legalism, denomination, or official buildings gave me allot to think about.

At least, she cares. Sometimes it's the thought that counts.
