those who leave the org.
(or fade) no longer have anything in common with jehovah's witnesses, nor do they want to stick around to get radiated by the fear and guilt that saturates every aspect of a witnesses' life.. i've lost all but one of my jw friends quite simply because i can no longer condone the evil things that they condone.
I'm only faded, but I've lost all the "friends" I had. Not that I had an extensive social circle before. I was never in the popular circles among JWs to begin with.
When I do run into JWs, whatever limited contact I might have, it is very awkward. I find myself limiting my association with them to avoid the psychodrama. 1 Cor 15:33.

so something i never knew was the fact jw's were taught that jesus is only the mediator for the anointed class and not for everyone.
i only found this out after reading "crisis of conscience" and i was actually pretty shocked to learn so.
if that is the case, when they pray why even bother saying the words "in the name of jesus christ we ask"?
i was appointed as an elder when i turned 30, 25 years ago.
which was the norm back then.. now, i very rarely here of a young man becoming an elder.
in our town we have 2 english congregations.

I'm open minded, I could see a symbiotic business relationship developing over time, but is there really proof that the 70-year blood ban is for research? How can we know motivations of people that are total strangers?

so, like every year, there's a campaign going on about giving people convention invites and urging them to attend the convention.
what an utterly moronic waste of time.
we live 500+ kilometers away from the convention hall.
i want as many minds put into this as possible.. there is a new argument among the extreme jw apologists, saying that even the disciples promoted mistakes.
they base themselves on john 21:23. keep in mind, i am not a believer but i want the answer from a believer's standpoint, please.. .

The difference was there was no Governing Body…but say there was, they did not proclaim this teaching as spiritual food. If you did not believe this, you would not get shunned.
The Watchtower likes to portray failed predictions and teaching as the fault of Jehovah’s Witnesses, but nobody blames the “channel”, the Watchtower, or the Governing Body or Watchtower president of the time. It is a top down organization…they take the credit up top, and put the blame on the bottom.
