HYPOTHESIS for Christians
by BoogerMan insatan offered jesus control of the world, as a reward for worshiping him.. (luke 4:5, 6) so he brought him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth in an instant of time.
then the devil said to him: “i will give you all this authority and their glory, because it has been handed over to me, and i give it to whomever i wish.
1. humans who have been given control of the earth, communicate (spiritism*) with its true ruler.

"D'you remember how Jesus was led into the wilderness and fasted forty days? Then, when he was a-hungered, the devil came to him and said: 'If thou be the son of God, command that these stones be made bread'. But Jesus resisted the temptation.
Then the devil set him on a pinnacle of the temple and said to him: 'If thou be the son of God, cast thyself down. For angels had charge of him and would bear him up.' But again Jesus resisted.
Then the devil took him into a high mountain and showed him the kingdoms of the world and said that he would give them to him if he would fall down and worship him. But Jesus said: 'Get thee hence, Satan.'
That's the end of the story according to the good simple Matthew. But it wasn't. The devil was sly and he came to Jesus once more and said: 'If thou wilt accept shame and disgrace, scourging, a crown of thorns and death on the cross, thou shalt save the human race, for greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.'
Jesus fell. The devil laughed till his sides ached, for he knew the evil men would commit in the name of their redeemer." - Somerset Maugham, The Razor's Edge

Trying to overturn a presidential election is not considered to be a "minor" crime.
Agreed. All involved should be held accountable.
An insurrection is an overthrow of the government to start a new and different government. This did not happen nor was it the believe intent.

They are also already in the process of training potential new, younger Governing Body members. There is much speculation around Bethel as to when/if these new men will be announced as new Governing Body members, but time will tell.
I wonder how many, if any, of these "new, younger Governing Body members" will claim to be of the annointed? This may be the continued slow boiling of the frog on the whole 144,000 problem the Watchtower has with the ever increasing amount of partakers.

Are JWs preaching Paul's Gospel or something beyond Paul's Gospel?
by Vanderhoven7 inpaul's gospel: .
now, brothers and sisters, i want to remind you of the gospel i preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand.
2 by this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word i preached to you.

Prior to the Apostle Paul Christianity was more of a sect of Judaism. It seems Christians were still practicing Jews who added a bit of Gospel to their life. Jesus divinity was not taught until after Paul came on the seen.
I see Jehovah's Witnesses from the Rutherford days forward being the same. I often wondered why Jehovah's Witnesses seem to spend so much time in the Old Testament. There were whole District Conventions where 90% of the scriptures read from the platform were from obscure Old Testament books.
When I was a Witness I would often ask myself, "Are we even Christians?"

In short, charges brought against some 725 persons are -

Here is 18 USC §2383 - Rebellion of Insurrection
Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
As far as I know, to date, no person has been charged with 18 USC 2383.
My point: I find what happened on January 6, 2021 at the US Capitol to be highly disturbing. Persons who violated the law should be held accountable while given due process. To mischaracterize or overdramatize what happened is a miscarriage of justice and political maleficence. 18 USC 2383 was written as a result of the U.S. Civil War in which an militarized rebellion took place costing 620,000 men.

BREAKING. European Court rules for Jehovah's Witnesses in long-awaited "extremism" case
by Corney inin 6-1 judgment, the ecthr found that the forced dissolution of jehovah’s witnesses religious organisations in russia, the banning of their religious literature and international website on charges of extremism, the revocation of the permit to distribute religious magazines, the criminal prosecution of individual jehovah’s witnesses, and the confiscation of their property unlawfully interfered with their human rights.
the only dissenting judge is apparently mikhail lobov, who was nominated by the russian government.. .

I don't understand why Russia simply removes any tax breaks they get, remove their status as a religion and merely classifies them as a business (which they are).
Brilliant! Going from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses to the Official Fan Club of the Governing Body.
Then go all out in organising an official enquiry into their child abuse problem, like CARC. An inquiry Into the shunning of minors, the illegal pressure they put on members to refuse blood, & Watchtower orders not to vote. All on pain of shunning & DF/DA.
This should be done on an international, worldwide basis.

Which Bible Translation.....
by BoogerMan in....is the best, in your opinion?.
out of the numerous translations i've had/used, i can honestly state that the 2001 translation is head & shoulders above all the others i've ever consulted, imo.
the publishers even invite suggestions/corrections to be submitted.

For me it was whiskey. Scotch and Bourbon in particular. I found single malt Scotch at least 25 years aged was a good starting point. I once bought a bottle of bourbon from an "orphan cask". It looked like real maple syrup when you swirled it in your glass as it slid down the side.

First rule of book club: don't talk about book club
by Judgerussellford ini've never heard anyone else but ne say this but i've been saying it for years.
if you agree and have also been saying this for years, that is hilariously greater.
watchtower is just a cooperation that hides behind a religious title, that owns real-estate around the world, these buildings wich only have 1 purpose.

I believe you hit the nail on the head. The Watchtower is, was, and always will be nothing more than a business hiding the fact in plain sight as a religion. Things started to make sense after I was quit being a Witness.
1. What other religion refers to its members as "publishers"? Answer - none!
pub·lish·er
/ˈpəbliSHər/
noun
a person or company that prepares and issues books, journals, music, or other works for sale. - Oxford Dictionary
I grew up as a Witness in the days when we literally bought Watchtower publications at the Kingdom Hall to sell to the public in our public ministry. The magazine and literature counters in Kingdom Halls were cash only book stores.
A publisher's monthly report was their sales records being sent back to headquarters. It was no different than the door-to-door salesmen of yesteryear. Then the change happened.
In the 1990s a lot of tv evangelists in the U.S. were getting investigated by the IRS for tax evasion. This spooked the Watchtower. So they did what any business does during hard times - they changed their business model. It failed.
The voluntary donation arrangement killed the Watchtower. A Watchtower magazine being produced by volunteer labor sold to the publishers for $0.25. In turn the publisher would sell it to the public or $0.25 and then donate that money back to the Watchtower. The Watchtower was getting $0.50 for a magazine that probably cost them $0.05 to produce.
Once the voluntary donation arrangement went into effect I found that many publishers never donated at the Kingdom Hall for their magazines and it was rare to find a publisher who had the courage to ask a householder for a donation. So, do counter the falling profits the Watchtower did what any business does - skimp on the product.
Magazines started to slim down in pages. Hardcover books were replaces with softcover books. Then the frequency of magazine publications diminished. However, this was not enough. So a new business plan had to be created and it was a real doozy.
The Watchtower got out of the publishing business and into the real estate business. Publishers had to mortgage their Kingdom Halls with the Watchtower only to give ownership of the Kingdom Hall to the Watchtower. Suddenly the Watchtower had congregations building new Kingdom Halls left and right.
Today, we see the big real estate selloff of Kingdom Halls, Assembly Halls, and even Bethel facilities. Hundreds of millions of dollars are pouring in to the Watchtower's coffers. All tax free.
