the latest video release 4/4/22 (lesson 44 'don't give up') in the comic series of caleb & sophia just got weirder.
the plot is about caleb & sophia preaching door to door, caleb with his father and sophia with her mother.
it shows each of them having doors slammed on them four times.
I remember the thought of running into someone from school while in the ministry was one of my biggest fears growing up a JW. When I was young I remember a Witness commenting during a Service Meeting part in which he encouraged Witnesses to pick a territory that guaranteed your children had such an experience. This terrified me.
This amount to nothing more than abuse. These are the type of people who help children with their fear of drowning by throwing the child into the deep end of the pool. Then they laugh at the child.
what is the harm or downside of being pimo?.
i get all the good things about being in the cong, good social life lots of invites to bbqs and meals out.
lots of interesting gossip 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
I am not sure I was ever PIMO. However, even when I was in I kept my identity as one of Jehovah's Witnesses hidden from my co-workers. I had an anxiety over being found out.
In addition, I too had a fear that when I chose to do things that were forbidden or frowned upon by the Watchtower that I would be seen by someone else in the congregation. I wasn't doing anything that would get me disfellowshipped, but I was a Ministerial Servant and wanted to avoid being removed. A lot of that was fear of what my parents would think.
So, living that way takes a toll. Mentally which does affect you physically. Developing high blood pressure or heart issues as a result of constant anxiety would be horrible.

One of these portraits is of Cesare Borgia, son of Pope Alexander and the other is of Obi Wan Kenobi, our only hope. Neither is a portrait of Jesus no one ever painted a portrait of Jesus when he was alive if he even existed.
how far do we get away from 1914 before they have a new light and admit it was all wrong?.
they cling to the old theory of the 77 week prophecy from the wrong date that jerusalem was destroyed .
with the overlapping generations nonsense still we are getting too far away from 1914. what will they say if we get to the 2030s and they still cling to 1914?.
The old doctrines seem to have less meaning. The 1914 doctrine combined with the "generation" Jesus spoke of has been replaced with JW Broadcasting stating "We are living in the final part of the Last Days. Undoubtedly, the final part of the final part of the Last Days, shortly before the final day of the Last Days."
hi everyone i’m a pimo elder ex bethelite and pioneer who has been having doubts for many years.
as of late i’ve come to have even more doubts mainly due to the gb pushing the vaccines and acting like salesman for big pharma companies .
i will never take these vaccines even if it meant i couldn’t go to the hall as was previously said but the gb have done a big u turn on this now.
PIMO Elder:
Welcome! It is nice to have another join the conversation on this website. May you be happy and well.
the thing is I do quite like all the good things about the Borg and I like the meetings lots of good people there
One question and one comment -
What are the good things about the Borg?
There are lots of good people at the meetings as I have found there are good people everywhere. JWs often misquote Simon Peter's words at John 6:68 from "to whom shall we go" to "where shall we go". You can go anywhere and be surrounded by good people without having to be a practicing Jehovah's Witness.
what do people usually think of when they buy a house?
"i will probably live here for a long time" (you're invested with your time), "i will save money by building equity over time".
(you've invested in yourself financially for the long run) of course, i wouldn't be able to list the numerous reasons why people want to buy a house.
Seems no matter what you do it is never the right thing unless directly benefits the watchtower corporation.
This is because Jehovah's Witnesses pride themselves in fault finding. It is a way they attempt to elevate themselves. It is a disgusting game of grasping at straws with heavy tones of holier than thou.
Witnesses are constantly shooting themselves in the foot in this game. They have to over think every decision with the bottom line being "Will a fellow Witness find fault" rather than ask themselves "What does Jehovah think," which ultimately is just asking "Is there anything truly wrong with this?" Buy or rent a home may be an example, but the sadder example is when you have older Witnesses who did nothing to prepare for retirement or can't retire because they were too worried what others would think.
sometimes a word can change everything and this is the case here with a word that appears only once in the bible but reveals so much about the powers of darkness, the influence of greek literature on the first apostles and finally and more relative to 1the intellectual dishonesty of the watchtower when it comes to presenting information from extra biblical sources.so if you like stories about the fallen angels and hollow earth stay presented from an exjw perspective watch this video.

Although the kingdom of Hades was the place of the dead, Tartarus was where ferocious monsters and horrible criminals were banished, or where the gods imprisoned their rivals after a war. The three judges of the Underworld, Rhadamanthus, Aeacus and Minos, decided who would go to the realm of Hades and who would be banished to Tartarus.

Like Hades, Tartarus is further proof of the influence of the Greeks on the Israelite belief system. Just as the Persian Zoroastrian religion influenced the Israelites into believing in a monotheistic religion and it also gave us Satan.

big, blue-eyed judge joseph frederick rutherford, 60, lives in a ten-room spanish mansion, no.
4440 braeburn road.
It is a sad and claustrophobic life inside and those who hang in there are drained of life like zombies. Their happiness is a lived-in depression still waitin' on Jehovah.
That makes perfect sense. I think one of the contributing factors to my successful escape was that all my JW friends and most of my family turned their back on me when I became inactive due to my work schedule. By that time the people who were truly looking out for me were non-JWs.
