  The Space Alien is...JESUS!

  jehovah’s witnesses believe something very similar!

  except, the space alien is jesus!throughout the history of christianity there has never been any confusion about what the phrase"the return of christ" actually means.

  The origin of the word Lullaby

  reading around the subject of lillith, the alledged, rebel first wife of adam, i stumbled upon this link and many others that link the custom of singing babies to sleep as an ancient jewish superstition.. http://www.jeanniemusick.com/lilith-world/lilith-as-the-origin-of-the-lullaby/.

  some of the research could probably be argued but looking at it from the wt perspective and mirroring their usual reasoning, i could imagine the following.... ... it appears that the word "lullaby" originates from the the hebrew "lilith-abi", which means "lilith be gone".

  jewish mothers used to sing these songs to their babies in bed in hopes that they would be protected from this baby snatching demon called lilith.

  The topic of Lilith is a very interesting story.

  According to Jewish legend, Lilith was the first woman created by God. This originated because of Genesis 1:27 -

  "And God went on to create the man in his image, in God’s image he created him; male and female he created them." NWT

  Eve doesn't show up into the picture until Genesis 2:22. To explain Genesis 1:27 "male and female he created them," indicating that God created both a man and a woman from the Earth, the Jews created Lilith - Adam's first wife.

  As the story goes, the "marriage" between Adam and Lilith ended real quick over an argument of who was going to be "on top." Lilith leaves Adam and moves into a cave next to the Red Sea. She starts having children with an angel and these kiddos are demons.

  Adam, being lonely, whines to God. God sends three angels to force Lilith back to Adam. These three angels threaten Lilith that if she doesn't go back to Adam they will drown 100 of her offspring everyday. Lilith responds by saying she is going to kill every male child 8 or younger and every female under 20.

  Lilith and the angels make a compromise - Lilith doesn't have to go back to Adam in exchange that whenever the three angels' names are invoked by the parents of a child she will not kill that child. This in turn created the tradition of inscribing the three angels' names on amulets and hanging them over children's beds.

  It is also interest to note that many renaissance artists depicted Lilith as the serpent in the Garden of Eden and that Lilith was the one who convinced Eve to partake of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge.

  There is one political party in Washington, D.C. - the party of the political elite class.

  Democrat and Republican congressmen alike put on a big show in front of the citizens which is published by media advocates (formally known as "journalists"). At the end of the day all the members of the House and Senate go over to the Capitol Grille at 601 Pennsylvania AVE, have drinks together, and laugh it up.

  Donald Trump is an outsider. He wasn't supposed to win. He wants to do what he was elected for and that goes against the grain of the political class.

  As a result of Hillary Clinton losing an election the political class banked on, the next best thing they can do is attempt to de-legitimize Trump's presidency. Enter the Mueller Investigation. Two solid years of innuendo. Now the media advocates are prepping the hopeful for utter disappointment. A two year investigation and what have we found out - nothing. In fact, Mueller may never make a report. That's ok because all that was needed was to cast doubt and suspicion on the President.

  If wasting millions of dollars of your money on a witch hunt doesn't upset you, maybe the fact that the U.S. Congress hasn't passed a budget since 2006 should. What's the difference between a budget and a continuing resolution? A continuing resolution has no spending cap. That's why the U.S. owes foreign banks 22 trillion dollars. Everything else is smoke and mirrors to take your eyes off that.

  Isn't that a true testament to the organization known as Jehovah's Witnesses. Charles Taze Russell starts the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society. Russell teaches that 1914 is a pivotal date, the date when Jesus begins his reign as king of God's kingdom.

  Then a century later the corporation/religion Russell founded gets embarrassed by Russell, stabs him in the back, and says, "He was just a guy. Rutherford was the real first Faithful Slave."

  I find it hilarious that these guys travel all the way to Egypt to "study" the great pyramid of Giza because it is supposed to be a testament to the Israelite god "Jehovah" (YHWH) and his divine plan of the ages. Meanwhile the local Egyptians guiding them have no clue what these guys are talking about because -

  1) The Israelites were never slaves to Egypt.

  2) The Israelites never built the pyramids.

  Ignorance of Watchtower doctrine among young JW's

  i've been having a conversation with a young jw on twitter and have, once again, come up against beliefs that do not match up with official watchtower doctrine.

  if you like you can read the full thread here (you'll need to click on some comments to open it all up).. anyway the upshot is that this jw, and many like her, believe that only truly wicked people will be killed at armageddon - not innocent babies and children or anyone who "didn't know better" perhaps because they didn't get a witness.

  it's as though they cannot accept the obvious injustice of jehovah's morality.. this jw teenager believes that all these non-jw's who survive armageddon will get their chance to prove their loyalty during the 1000 year reign of christ - again, not a watchtower teaching.. i don't really have a question to ask, this is just an observation.

  Is The Person Who Helped You “Get Into The Truth” Still Around?

  i helped, unfortunately, many people to become baptized jws.

  recently, over the last few years, i saw many of my students who were still “ in the truth “ lament that i was no longer associating or active in the faith.. i do feel bad that i did such a good job that most of them still are in the cult.. are your teachers still around or did they wise up and leave the lord’s organization?

  i too was living that life for many years myself.. going through all the motions knowing things were just not right.

  yet so afraid of the consequences of leaving the only world i knew.

  I think there are two types of PIMO persons. There is the PIMO we see and talk about here quite often. These are the ones who have come to know the truth about the Truth. These are the ones who no longer believe the lunacy, but are not ready to have the ties cut between them and family or friends.

  Then there is another kind of PIMO. I believe my sister's husband is an example. He was my best friend growing up through high school. We because Ministerial Servants at the same time. We were the elders' right hand. However, we both had a deep desire of having a career in public safety. He wanted to be a firefighter and I wanted to be a police officer.

  For years now has been a full time paid firefighter and has only been doing the bare minimum to keep his "active" status in the organization. You can tell that his career has replaced Witness activities. He is even a tac medic for a police department's SWAT team. I'm really happy for him because we both accomplished what we wanted to do with our lives. The difference is that Witnesses have no problem with their members being a firefighter, but are hung up on being a police officer because of the whole gun thing.

  Where things differ between he and I is, we both live our lives like we no longer believe in the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses, but he still will tell you to your face it is "the Truth". It's down right hypocritical. Almost gaslighting.

  He goes to meetings, I guess he goes out in field service occasionally, and that's it. He sports a gorgeous, massive handle bar mustache as some firefighters have the custom of doing. So big that there is no way any body of elder would ever let him have any extended "privileges". That's just it - he doesn't care.

  I'm seeing this more and more out of my formal Witness associates. They look like a runner in baseball who is touching the side of second base with their left toe and saying "I'm safe. See! I'm on base," and then spits their chew on the field right in front of you.

  Good strategy?

  so obviously the best way to leave properly is fading, that's a given i would have thought?.

  however i'm in a situation where i'm not sure what to do... i've just left home, nobody bar my parents / gparents know my address.

  at my parents request they asked if i would switch my cards over to the closer kingdom hall.

  I moved to another state. Had my publisher card mailed to the new congregation secretary. I attended maybe 2 meetings. I had a visit or two from and elder w/ the circuit overseer to "encourage" me to attended the meeting on Sunday. That was it.

  The new congregation was busting at the seams. I think there was 1 English and 2 Spanish congregations using the same Kingdom Hall. This is the fasted growing area in the United States. I am sure it was impossible for the elders to keep up with everything going on.

  Don't rock the boat. If no one is reaching out to you, let it go and get on with your life.
