i really don't understand.
the antiquity of religion may be historically educational, but not always personally illuminating.
Since the new light comes into account in Bible research you cannot go in details to the years before 1914 AD and criticize.
The changes had to take place . Just listen to Open Forum by Harold Camping what he was teaching about hell 5 years ago and what he is teaching now ! http://www.familyradio.com .
How he changed his views within a few years !
So the best way is to read what the Watchtower is teaching now at this time and go with it if you like .
those people on that cover were supposed to represent a group of people that would still live on into the new order.
in your best guess, how old were most of those 16 people at the time the photo was taken, and how many do you suppose are still alive today?.
remember, that wt was printed in 1984, nearly 27 years ago.
It is certain that this 1914 generation will still exist on September 29,2011 if my prediction based on the Bible comes true that day .

I think I remember some events when I was 5 .It can be with any human being so we can count the 1909 AD as the beginning for that generation.
1909 AD - 2011 AD = 102 years .
There might be thousands of people at least world-wide with the age of 102 + .
This generation would be widning down fast so this gives extra strength to September 29,2011 prediction.
I am giving at least a 88% chance to that date and 7% to October 21 ,2011 AD . While only 4% to 2034 AD.
May 21 ,2011 AD which is published on http://www.familyradio.com has a chance of 1% if I add some input to it.
But we can talk also about the generation that builds the spiritual ark for 120 years at least .
It is a period of 127 years as 7 days can be changed into 7 years using Ezekiel 4.6.
1884 AD - 2011 AD = 127 years.
This generation that will build the ark in 127 years will not pass away.
The best interpretation seems to be:
this generation of evil shall not pass away ( will not be destroyed ) untill the time when all these things predicted by Jesus will come to pass.

There will be evil people always till the very end and they will see the end .

There is no Bible teacher who when reading the Bible got all things correctly. The Bible is good for correction.
2 Timothy 3.16 .
It is like with a child who got a bicycle to ride and chances are 100% he or she will fall .The same process is happening in the spiritual development of a child of God.
Now we know that 2000 years must pass since Jesus Christ was on earth. That makes all past predictions before 1994 AD or 1999 AD inaccurate .
7 BC + 2000 years = 1994 AD .
2 BC + 2000 years = 1999 AD.
This knowledge about these 2000 years is a new light .
We know now but it was not known or fully understood before 1994 AD.
the other day i was doing some research about "1914" for a friend on my wt cd library (spanish) and i found it quite interesting that the number of times "1914" is mentioned in the watchtower magazine during the previous 3 decades has been dropping exponentially as follows.... 1980-1989: mentioned 854 times.
1990-1999: mentioned 492 times.
2000-2009: mentioned 222 times.
It made me laughing to read about abandoning the date 1914 .Please ,people wake up I have a prediction for this September 29,2011 and the dates I am using go beyond the year 1914 ! You need to spend some time to read how I came to this prediction for 2011 and how the old dates that link the International Bible Students and Jehovah's Witnesses relate to the endtime era.
The first date is 1879 AD which is 35 years earlied than the year 1914 AD .I am using that old date when the original version of the Wachtower magazine was published to the world .
The year 1914 AD still can be used when we speak about 2034 AD ! 1914 AD + 120 years = 2034 AD.

Since I am on my own and I am not interested in setting up a new religious organization I don't care too much about who follows me . I have found by God's grace something new that fits the endtimes and I want to share it with others. And I inform people of impending coming of God's Kingodom .
There was a lady from Poland some years ago who seemed to agree with me but I am not in touch with her anymore and many new things came out into light later . She might be still reading my posts I don't know.
I am using Luke 9.49-50 to prove my indpendent status and I know that I cannot be against Jehovah's Witnesses who have some of 144000 servants in their ranks .Jesus said about such independent servant " Don't forbid him he who is not against us is with us ".
Luke 9.49-50 has found its fulfillment again in our time .

God's name YHWH in our times takes upon a new numerical value :
it was 10,5,6,5 before and now it is 11,6,7,6 .
These numbers represent the numerical order of these four letters in Psalm 119 .
You place these four numbers in a meaningful form as two parts : 11 , 6 and 7,6 .
11x6 = 66 books of the Bible . 7x6 is " 7 times " as 42 years .
To understand the Bible nowadays we must understand " 7 times" formula.
11x 6x7x6 = 2772 . We break this into two parts : it can be like 2520 years + 252 years which in both cases mean " 7 times ".
It can be broken into these : 1772 + 1000 = 2772 . "1772 " = " 1000 " as both represent half of God's name YAHWEH .. YAH WEH .
106 AD + 1772 years is as a symbolic 1000 years = 1878 AD .
2772 can be broken into two parts like this : 27 + 72 .
1878 AD + 72 years = 1950 AD . 1984 AD + 27 years = 2011 AD .
Of course if you see the year 106 AD or 1878 AD or 2011 AD you must find out where did I get these dates .How did I arrive at them .

That means that God's name embraces the end time we are living; God's name is upon our times .
If it is legitimate to break 2772 into these various two parts it can be valid to do the same with some dates of huge importance .

They got close on this one : 2492 BC is the actual date 120 years before the Flood.
2492 BC + 7 weeks of Daniel 9 as " 7 times " + 7 days as " 2520 years" + 7 years .
2492 BC + 2520 years = 29 AD .
29 AD + 7 years = 36 AD .
The middle of the week : 29 AD - 36 AD which is 7 years for 7 days is 33 AD .
2492 BC - 120 years = 2372 BC which breaks into two parts " 23 " and " 72 ".
2011 AD + 23 years = 2034 AD
1878 AD + 72 years = 1950 AD .
2492 BC + 70 weeks of Daniel 9 = ?
2492 BC + " 7 times " as 2520 years + 2520 days + 70 years = 106 AD .
29 AD- 33 AD - 36 AD - 106 AD are repeated in our times both ways :
1914 AD - 1918 AD - 1921 AD - 1991 AD .
1991 AD - 1988 AD - 1984 AD - 1914 AD .
I wrote about 1950 AD above it may stand for 70 AD !

Love the Watchtower ! I have given good reasons for that in another thread of similar type.
It gave us the best chronology that I am using to prove God Yahweh does exist and the Bible is from God and the International Bible Students were and Jehovah's Witnesess are the true christian organization in the endtime era .
1878 AD - 1879 AD - 1884 AD - 1914 AD recorded the revival of the true christianity .
Get the book " Babylon the Great Has Fallen " and you will see these three dates there at the end of the book :
1879 AD,1884 AD,1914 AD .
These date fit : 7 BC , 2 BC , 29 AD .
Note the same time gaps : 5 years , 30 years .

There is no way to hate Jehovah's Witnesses !
Their Watchtower produced the best reliable biblical chronology on which I was able to do some marvelous work to prove God does exist and the Bible is from God and that we are near the end of the world .
Just read my posts google group alt.religion.jehovahs-witn .This is a long story to explain .The dates they give in the book Babylon the Great Has Fallen are astounding and prove the Watchtower has God's approval upon it .
Of course I made some corrections to their dating but still we are dealing with God's organization that is best of all christian organizations.
Let's take the date 1513 BC when God Yahweh freed His people from slavery in Egypt .
Jews have 1313 BC for this event a 200-year difference ! Harold Camping of http://www.familyradio.com who is proclaiming May 21,2011 as 100% certainty Jesus will return that day has the year 1447 BC for Israel leaving Egypt . He came up with one of the best biblical chronology which is very competitive to that of the Watchtower .
So ,we have 1513 BC , 1447 BC or 1313 BC .
I take 1513 BC . Note the time gaps between these three which already is mind-boggling .
1513 BC - 1447 BC = 66 years and go to http://www.focusonthebible2011.com to see the number 66 which is 66 years for 66 books of the Bible.
1447 BC - 1313 BC = 134 years and note on my website 1 year for Jesus and 66 years for 66 books of the Bible and again 66 years and 1 year and we get 134 years ! 1878 AD + 134 years = 2012 AD .
I have a period 1984 AD - 1988 AD - 1991 AD and exactly in the middle of that period we have 3500 years back to the date 1513 BC !
3500 years is a half of a symbolic week of 7 days of 7000 years. It means " 3.5 times " .
1513 BC + "3.5 times" as 3500 years " .. 1988 AD + " 3.5 times " as 3.5 years = 1991 AD .
This is a very good basis not to hate Jehovah's Witnesses but to love them .
i have been noticing people posting on this site have a "deep" spiritual desire, but don't quite know how to find it, or where it is at.. this beg the question...do we need to be involved with a "religion" to find "spirituality"...especially an "organized religion"???.
anyone that has there eyes open can see that all religion is loosing their influence over people around the world...i spent 47 years thinking i was in the "truth" being one of jw's!
and now that i am out...and looking back from the "outside"...all i see is that its just another religion...filled with all the "control-grid" stuff found in any other group.. worse yet...they are worse than other religions...so it begs an answer..is there such thing as a "true religion"???.
If you have God of the Bible on your side you can be a spiritual person in a true meaning .
Any spiritual person in most religions is not a spiritual person in a biblical way and a biblical way is what counts .
If you are on your own without belonging to any religion and think you are a spiritual person you can think so and your friends also about you but it may have no value in God's sight . You must be spiritual based on the Bible .
