More help needed at Warwitch

well when they first started the warwitch project, only the cream of the crop were allowed to go.

they read a letter this week in my area, inviting all brothers in good standing, to go to a special meeting for anyone with building experience.

they must be desperate, to allow the low life plain everyday sheeple's to volunteer!.

Wouldn't you have the toxic waste dump cleaned BEFORE you started building? What about the contamination under the buildings they already building? I would never go there for anything. Stay away from the kool-aid.

I am confused. The WT is having 100s of volunteers come to work on a waste dump that is so bad that they are also in the middle of a lawsuit for toxic clean-up. Does anyone see a problem here? Is there a real ethical/moral problem here? Maybe they can't hire anyone because the companies and unions refuse to work in a toxic was dump. Get the JW volunteers to do it, they control them, they're expendable. It's only a little cancer. The lawsuit and clean-up will likely drag out for 10 years or longer.

Laying off thousands on the left and stopping all building, and on the right begging for money and asking for volunteers to work in toxic waste dump bad enough to file suit. The new world wide headquarters of the Watchtower is being built on a toxic waste dump ... that sounds about right. If you ask me it has Jonestown written all over it.

I would strongly advocate addressing the general public as well. Few people even know about the WT/JW and their issues. I would mass overwhelming education to ALL people to bring the WT into the light and let EVERYONE see who they are. You will find great support in all the non-WT non-JW public.

It shocks the hell out of me.

The Heartbreak of having a brainwashed friend

so, recently, i made a reconnection with a long lost jw friend.i first met her when i was about 12 or 13, and she was about 10.. she was a lovely young lady, very poised, very intelligent, a cut above the other girls in the hall.

easy to talk to.

i was in love with her.all the boys in the hall loved her.

I dated, and fell in love with, a divorced JW. I am divorced. She is about 35.

She said yes. We were engaged for a day. Until her family found out. And then she thanked me for f@%$^ing up her entire like. I don't even know how that happens.

We dated for two years and she kept assuring me the JW was not a problem between us.

We talked on the phone for a while longer, but she seemed to have a real attitude. I would call and she would just say you must be horny and just want sex. I was able to talk her down from the ledge and once again assure her I wanted the whole package. Married and grow old together. Wasn't much help. Between calls she seemed to be getting "instructed" by someone.

Removal of Tetragrammaton from Early Greek Manuscripts

a while ago i posted on another thread that i had been told by some witnesses that the tetragrammaton had been in the original christian greek scriptures but had been removed when apostacy came into the church .

i did not know where this came from at the time .however while looking something else up i came across this .as i could not find the original thread i have started a new one .here is a quote from nwt reference edition 1984 :-.

I am confused why the WT/JW is highjacking the Bible. Written and assembled by Catholics that they rail against and hate. They call them apostates - but they use their book.

(To be honest I am really confused as to why events 2015 years ago in a very isolated places in the middle east have permeated the entire world in the form of a religion.)

Around 300 AD there were a dozen or more versions of Christianity sects and at about 100 scrolls, gospels, and testimonials that each group claimed that justified their beliefs to varying degrees. There was a lot of arguments and general unrest. The Roman emperor Constantine declared a very political solution "shut the hell up and pick one". Hence the Council of Nicaea. A few dozen Bishops gathered together to hash out one official Bible. Other councils were held throughout the 300's AD to argue. (mind you, a pagan emperor had the final approval of the Bible)

Arius. Arius was one Catholic Bishop that preached against the Trinity and claimed that Jesus was not God, was not divine, but subservient to God. When he attended the Council, he was not only kicked out, he was banished to the north and it was ordered that ALL of his works be burned. Sore looser, so to speak. He was the one that declared the Catholics as apostates. He actually recanted, pulled some strings, and the emperor ordered that he be allowed to rejoin the Catholic Church. Catholics hated the idea. He died days before his reinstatement.

At the Counsel they picked and choose the cannon. ALL books of the New Testament were carefully chosen to support the Trinity. The New Testament was specifically crafted to all support the Trinity. So I don't understand why the WT/JW uses a book that was created very intentionally assembled to refute Arius.

Charles Russell read about Arius and thought it was a unknown truth - or "neat". He formed his beliefs and religion around Arius, a belief that died out in the 3rd century, and was very specifically kicked out of the Bible. To this day the WT/JW hate Catholics, but they usually don't know why, But they still use there book. Paradox.

Arius was the original JW.

Would it make sense to send a letter/post-card/email to everyone, JW and non-JW, to raise overall awareness? A couple of years ago I had no idea what the WT/JW is. Also to inoculate the non-JW public and overall pressure to force the WT/JW to change. What if the WHOLE world was made aware of the practices of the WT.

I'm sure you could get a lot of support from millions of never-a-JW people. Like me here. Christians love causes to help/save/free people from tyranny and oppressions - especially from broke groups that use religion to control/manipulate people. If all found out how they break up families - the support could be overwhelming. I read these posts and I am shocked about what I have found and want to help great injustices. Bring world-wide attention to this.

I do like the fund raising campaign for the billboard. Everyone can see it. Perhaps contact a few of those mass mailers of junk mail we get. They may even be supportive and process everything at cost and use their mailing lists.

A bit of levity - but you could promote a sign up do-not-knock list that is regularly sent to the WT. A mass sign of how many people specifically reject their practices. Or realistically a petition signed (even digital online) by everyone to force change. Shine a light on the WT and expose them to everyone.

The organizations practice of propaganda false statements and emotional manipulations and family destruction are entirely reprehensible and have NO part of any religion. Free the people and let them come and go as they please. Emotional torture and critical oversight of behavior by the WT/JW Natzi Gestapo is condemned by every Christian organization and by God.

False prophets will no longer be tolerated. You will be called out and recognized for who you are. Bible et all: False prophets who lie about speaking in God's name will be cast into the lake of fire. If a person claims to speak in the name of God, and those events do not happen - is a false prophet who shall die. Or did you miss that part?

I put my name and address all over them.

That bothers me greatly. For anyone. That people should have to live in such a fear in a free country. In fear of humans and a human organization that holds emotional hostages.

All good points. And good ideas.

The WT uses overwhelming propaganda. I don't think it's wrong to interject a better message into the system to disrupt the cycle. One anonymous person is annoying. A million causes changes. As I have said the goal is not to annihilate the WT but fix it - enough so that people can feel free and liberated and at least no more CONTROL.

It has to start somewhere. Pair up - mail bomb each others areas. Even the staunchest have to given in to overwhelming opinion. But best to target message to the basic people - like they do.

The helpline is a good idea. You can say dial *67 555-555-5555 to block caller ID and remain anonymous.

When exactly did the WT loose religion and become a real estate company with captive/trapped labor to build properties for them?
