  we have to get rid of these racist relics.

  i propose that we destroy all these bottles of syrups and burn every pancake box !

  we need to get rid of anything that reminds us of anything negative concerning slavery.. in boston they decapitated the head of christopher columbus and got rid of his statue.

  What Happened at the Tulsa Rally? I Thought There Were Requests for a Million Tickets?

  it just seems rather odd to me that supposedly a million people had tickets or wanted tickets and yet the upper deck of the arena was half empty (or less) and they cancelled the outdoor overflow thing.

  just a bit strange based from what was reported the day before.. i wonder if it was no-shows or being overly optimistic..

  Movies and radio shows from the 1920s through the 1950’s/1960’s often portrayed African-American women as maids or domestic help. For example a popular radio personality in the 1940s was a maid called Beulah. ( Somebody bawl for Beulah) and was actually voiced by a skinny white guy ( google Marlin Hurt). But the accents and inflections were the same as the ads posted above.

  Funny, the way the Happy Days ad is written is how most kids spell when they text today.

  Cream of Wheat is also being targeted. I guess having a professional chef from Chicago named Frank L White since the 1920's be the face of the product for almost 100 years is now racist.

  i’m sick and tired of listening to white people begging for forgiveness simply because they are white.

  in a nearby town, a six year old girl asked her mom, “ why don’t we have a black lives matter march here?

  Most who grew up as JW's really don't see color. We were taught to look at ALL who are our Brothers and Sisters as equal in Jehovah's eyes. And to be fair, most (not all) JW's are that way.

  JW's really didn't have White Privilege. It's the DO's, CO's Elders, and MS's had the so called Privilege (don't know what you woutd call THAT kind of privilege....Hmmmmm... Privilege to be a A Hole????) But that kind of privilege came in all races, didn't it?

  In another month, this buzz word and pandering will be well played out, just like Covid-19, Russia, Impeachment, Russia, Muller Report, Russia, voter suppression, Russia, kids in cages, and on an on and on, only to be replaced by the next outrage....Probably something to do with Russia.

  What Phizzy said above is absolutely true. Above all, remember those words of advise that Phizzy wrote in his post. Do not trust ANY of them with ANYTHING. They will turn you in and think that it's an act of love. They will tell you disfellowshipping and shunning is an act of LOVE.

  I'm going through the same thing as you. All I can say is if you want to keep associating with them for a while, just do the minimum required or what you feel comfortable with at the time.

  Yes, it should be one of the biggest privileges a brother can get !! (how do I put the barfy icon in?)

  It's what most active brothers in the organization are striving for. But, I'm sure not all brothers want the added work and responsibility that comes with the appointment. Long hours, meetings at the end of the meeting, and things like that.

  Anyone or know of anyone who just say "No Way"?
