  Would You Go To A Memorial Service For A JW )if you were no longer attending the KH)?

  some of my old jw friends are sickly and getting on in age.

  so far, i’ve only gone to my mother’s memorial and have avoided the kingdom hall altogether.... your thoughts please?.

  Guilt trip

  did anyone have other jws try to guilt trip them when they were leaving or if you were making a decision which jws felt was wrong but wasn't unscriptural?

  i'm getting people guilt tripping me to eventually get back with my emotionally, spiritually and mentally abusive husband who i'm separated from.

  i feel sick at the thought of getting back together and putting myself through that nightmare again but i'm being told its what jehovah wants coz he doesn't want families to be apart.

  Yes, they guilt tripped me to stay with an abusive wife. Worked for a few years. Finally got out and away and have never been better. You are right, once you are untuned it will be better and easier.

  Did You Go To Meetings in Very Inclement Weather?

  living in new england means having lots of snow and cold.

  elders were very reluctant to cancel or reschedule a meeting due to the weather.

  i lived 3 towns away from the kingdom hall and if it was icy and treacherous my vote would always be to cancel the meeting....and forget about rescheduling!.

  My old hall almost never cancelled meetings. On the very rare occasion they called it off, they would reschedule for another night and then get mad at you if you had a part and couldn't show due to working.

  I remember after the hurricane hit in Louisiana we had an assembly part where the co or do said "if the government issues a weather related warning, we need to listen and follow their instructions, not risking our lives by ignoring it". Very next winter we hit a bad snow storm coming in. National weather service issued a warning, stay off the roads unless emergency. Meeting wasn't cancelled because it means our life to gather together to worship. I didn't go that night

  Do they officially give marking talks without telling the one marked?

  my pimi (physically in, mentally in) friend believes she was marked without them telling her.

  i believe her, and she has been making work for the elders.

  she is a pain in their arse, and they are a pain in hers, which is great.

  You commit a sin. Confess to elders. Repent. Receive private reproof. Next meeting they have a marking talk for you.

  If you're repentant and privately reproved a marking talk doesn't seem to fit the pattern of loving shepherding.

  Yes. They definitely give marking talks without telling the one they are marking.

  An elders daughter and I got 'involved'. - we were both in our 20's. Marking talks at multiple halls in the area. A friend from a hall that had her meeting on Tuesday called me and said 'omg, you'll never believe what the local needs was.... And proceeded to describe my relationship with the elders daughter. No one knew we were dating.l

  Counting time calling on inactive ones?

  had a couple of witnesses stop by yesterday to say the usual "we miss you, missed you at the meeting, just checking in on you, etc.

  " i've always liked this guy so we spoke for a few minutes.

  my wife said that they could count their time since i am inactive.

  Typical FS day in my old hall

  Leave kh parking lot.

  Hit one house at random as close to the kh as possible because "thats how the holy spirit directs us". Start time.

  Pioneer sister #1 - " I need to stop by the bank to get quarters for the laundry mat because they are always out. It will only take a second"

  Stop by bank. Van load of 6 wait in parking lot 15 minutes.

  Leave bank.

  Pioneer MS bro says "i need to swing by the Post Office to mail a couple things. Its all kh stuff and i cant use my personal stamps at home for kh stuff. It will only take a minute."

  Stop by post office. Van load of 6 wait 20 minutes. MS apologized about the line.

  Elder pioneer driving says he forgot a book for the meeting tonight he needs to look over. We'll just swing by his house on the way to the territory.

  30 minute drive to the country territory.

  5 out out the 7 are able to take one door before pioneer sister #2 says she needs to go to the bathroom.

  20 minute drive to nearest store with a nice enough toilet to pee in.

  40 minute drive back towards the kh.

  Everyone gets one door at a random stop on a street in town, because thats how the angles direct our work.

  Morning done.

  Cant count how many times i used to go in service and only knock on 1 door in 3 hours. Used to piss me off. Should have counted the blessings

  I have heard that same line before. Sister screws anyone with a penis. They all get df. She gets reinstated each time. Elders say God was using her to clean out the org. Wtf
