  i'm skeptical because i think defective proteins limit longevity but i think the above could greatly improve aging prospects.. .

  I researched resvertrol a few years ago and althought I know nothing about living to that span in life I do know that the company that discovered the link between the skin of the red grape where I believe the ingredient comes from was night put by a large drug company for over 750 million dollars.

  There are some videos on YouTube like 60 minutes that talk about the original discovery.

  I actually take it myself as the research, if its not tainted are promising.

  Who knows but I do not poo poo things now until I do some research.

  some jws came by and handed this invitation to me for something called a memorial.

  Back when we were inviting associates to the Memorial I had one ask jokingly " You guys are not going to sacrifice me or anything, right?"

  We chuckled a little then anothe Jw with me asked him "On a side note, do you know what your blood type is?"

  well it was a very long discussion.

  the elder knew nothing about the scandal, but he stated that he had no issue with it since when the case was brought to light, the society acted immediately to right their course.

  in fact he thought it was a sign that that the organisation was indeed the "truth".

  Something just hit me about this issue and the last "new light", Do you think that the new idea about only being the GB when all are "meeting together" could be used, at least fr future mishaps to excuse the lone gun GB member that gets caught doing something such as this.

  We've all heard the comment when a JW does something bad, like rob a bank etc "There not a Jw " reasoning that this somehow keeps the Borg clean.

  Could this be used currently to prevent any more mishaps like this one? I mean at this point, anything a GB member does could be dismissed as not coming from Jah since they were not meeting all together as the GB. Kinda of a get out of Jail free card for the WTBTS, although the actual member would be the one held accountable.

  The WTBTS were also slamming the Catholics Church for having 24 groups signed up with the UN, this was brought out in one of the mags, and was a quote from a book. What they forgot to quote the preceeding sentence from that book that said that these groups were NGOs/ Within the year the WTBTS signed up as a NGO.

  :Ast page or 2 of the elders book, Shepherding the Flock talks about one who joins a non neutral group as disassociating itself. They incriminate themselves.

  The real crux of the matter is to find out why they signed up, and it was not to gain access to the library as brought out in the jwfacts.com link.

  you all had some interesting thoughts on that jw memorial thread.

  some of you mentioned that you are going so that you can set some sort of example.

  i gather that some of you believe that by going and eating, you are somehow showing them they can (or should) do it too.. that really confuses me.

  Not attending, 2nd one to miss,

  I will not be going as It is paramount to show our children to stand up for what is true as knowing TTATT and attending, at least in our circumstance, would be showing the kids that we are still under their directions and that we are not sure of our decision to leave. I cannot give my children the thought that we somehow think that the WTBTS has 1 iota of truth in it.

  What ever happened to Douglas Walsh?

  does anyone know what happened to douglas walsh when the society lost the case?

  all the references to the case concentrate on freddie franz and his inabilty to translate a single verse of the bible into hebrew and to grant suiter who let the cat out regarding disfellowshiping and altered doctrine.. walsh, i understand was a pioneer and possibly the congregation servant.

  did he go to prison?

  You know I downloaded the trial transcripts and saw a great video on YouTube showing the things said by Franz and Covington but do not know what the trial was actually about.
