  WHY THE HELL DO I STILL FEEL GUILTY??!!

  ok, i've known for a long time now that this is not "the one true religion", but i can't for the life of me, seem to make the final break.

  i seldom go to meetings and am usually bored out of my mind when i do go, but for the life of me, after i've missed about 3 or 4 weeks i start feeling guilty about "missing meetings" and i'll go.

  i'm really frustrated and angry with myself that i can't make the break, but in all honesty, there's still some people at the hall that i care about and i guess i'd miss them if i left completely.

  I think what you are feeling is all part of the process. I can remember feeling the same way. In my case, even a few years later, I had feelings of guilt.

  Keep trying to make new friends and be busy, it will pass in time.

  For the love of a good animal

  i just came back from nine weeks on the road and one of the things i do miss are my kitties!

  my daughter calls, e-mails and writes me all the time when i'm away but the cats have a limited vocal range and are not big on writing!

  but after they punish me for being away, any of you who have cats know what i am talking about, they warm up to me and it is nice.

  I have a 6 year-old Black Lab mix who is afraid of water-(he was a shelter dog)

  A cat who loves to fetch (the white one above)

  Another who carries our shoes all over the house (so as to confuse us when we are in a hurry and trying to head out the door-I think)

  And a Blue-Tick Hound mix who is just a cuddly-sweetheart!

  Well, they are all my cuddly sweethearts!

  How did you adjust to the world after leaving JW land ? friends/lonliness ?

  I found a full-time job and immersed myself in it. There, I met a friend who was in every way opposite of me. She complemented me and I her - it was like we had been best friends forever! She got me through all the ups and downs while I made the transitition into "real" life. Those are some happy memories.

  Unwritten rules at the Kingdom Hall, what were yours ???

  every one of us who attended the kingdom hall, must have went through this at some time, and noticed things you were not supposed to do, even though it wasn't wrong.

  the biggie at our hall was do not sit in the back row, i always did, what was the deal on that, why put chairs there.

  - don't back you car in, someone would go out and check this nightly, ???.

  Gifts of homemade preserves must be delivered to the recipient out in the dark parking lot after the meeting.

  If you had to exchange money, for say merchandise from an Avon sale, it had to be done in the parking lot also.
