Definitely interesting, but unfortunately for me, it is all in Spanish.

A brief history about controlling cults: JW in France during 1998
by ironsnake656 ini was reading a master degree thesis from a student from universidad autonoma de nuevo leon, regarding religious associations taxation in mexico on it there is a note/citation from a open letter that the watchtower sent to the president of france, and paid the new your times to publish it, regarding the attack and violation of human rights by imposing a taxation of 60% of the donations given in a period of 4 years.
i don't know if you had heard about it, but for me it is the first time i know about this letter.
here is the link of the letter:.

Jehovahs Witnesses and Babylon The Great. Why the Emphasis on the R.C.Church and not on Islam.
by smiddy ini was thinking back to when the book babylon the great has fallen gods kingdom rules.was published many years ago when it was believed religion was declining in the world.. the book took exception to the r.c.church as the worst of christendom substituting themselves for the kingdom of god on earth , the counterfeit kingdom i think they called them.vicar of christ on earth.. and while its true to some degree in western lands today that religion is declining as regards christendom it is not happening in non christian religions around the world.. which brings me to the unprcedented rise and spread of islam in the world today .. with the war in iraq ,syria ,etc, and the people fleeing these war torn countries to europe and elsewhere around the globe with refugees and asylum seekers the spread of islam in the short space of time now beats any missionary projects conducted by christendom.. judaism ,christendom and islam all have their roots in the bible.the jews first then christians then muslims.. the bible only relates to the first two jews and christians and is completely silent about muslims.even in prophecy.. the book mentioned earlier btggkr nowhere mentions islam or muslims.as if they didnt even exist ,yet today they equal in numbers to all of christendoms religions.. islam today is by far a greater threat to christianity and especially to jehovahs witnesses than anything the roman catholic church ever posed before.. obviously the holy bible and the holy spirit or jehovahs chosen people the jehovahs witnesses never did forsee the rise and influence of the religion of islam in todays world.. the bible is completely silent about islam or the rise of muslims on the world stage.. could it be that they could no more predict the future than i could ?.
the wtb&ts the publishing house of jehovahs witnesses have for the past 100 years have continually attacked the roman catholic religion and portrayed them in an unfavourable light.time after time in mags and books,.
how many times have the wtb&ts attacked and challenged the religion of islam and muslims and condemned them as a principle member of babylon the great the empire of false religion.. to this day jehovahs witnesses cannot freely go door to door preaching their message in muslim dominated countries where proselytism is forbidden.

Fred franz's world view was a repeat of Adventism in the US 1800's. they were all anti-Catholic.

The most successful teaching of Jehovah's Witnesses and an amazing new book on the divine name
by slimboyfat injehovah's witnesses have had to revise their chronology and various doctrinal interpretations due to events and scholarly corrections.
but the one teaching where they have been consistently ahead of the curve is the importance of jehovah's name.. .
i'm going to run through a (necessarily selective) timeline of jw events and scholarly publications that demonstrate the phenomenal success of this teaching in the last days.

There is a video out there of Howard railing against the WT for misrepresenting him.
I like SBF, but I think that until a Greek NT manuscript shows up ( if ever) containing the Name, it is poor scholarship to include it in any NT translation.

The old "Book Study Group"
by The Fall Guy inin the june 2004 kingdom ministry, the self-appointed "faithful slave" published this spiritual exhortation as a q&a item - "the congregation book study—why we need it.
three years later, in 2007 - in the august kingdom ministry - the same "slave" issued this reminder - "how the congregation book study arrangement helps us.
but surprise, surprise - within a few short months the "slave" decided that jehovah had had a change of heart, and now decided that the book study in homes - with all of its alleged benefits - was superfluous: .

Besides liability, there are zoning and/or parking problems in many places that made a lot of homes impossible for a public meeting.

Is there any humor in the bible?
by Normalfulla inhumor plays a big part in a lot of humanity and we all like a good laugh but as far as i'm aware god's supposed word has no actual humor ,of course apart from being a joke itself ,why wasn't there a passage or something like "jesus farted and giggles broke out among them " or something, is anyone aware of any notations of humor ?
all to.serious really.

JB Phillips wrote in his preface to Philemon that the slave's name Onesimus meant "useful" and it "explains the untranslatable pun in verse 11", where the text of the Phillips translation/ paraphrase says "Yes I have become a father though I have been under lock and key, and the child's name is -- Onesimus! Oh, I know you have found him useless in the past but he is going to be useful now, to both of us. I am sending him back to you..."
I don't think all commentators have agreed, but I would like to think Paul included that pun to lighten the mood and to bring a smile to his reader's face.

Paul made a pun once which was likely an attempt at humor. I believe it is in Philemon.

Are Bethelites Buying and Preparing their own Food?
by TakeOffTheCrown insamuel herd made the following statement at the 2015 annual meeting regarding the reduction of services at bethel.. we will be reducing personnel at bethel.
some bethel family members will be invited to serve in the field.
in addition to their regular work, bethel family members will be caring for many of the services that were previously provided by fellow bethelites.. .

I have a family member in Bethel in a non-US location, and they have a kitchenette and prepare their own breakfast and lunch, I believe. But the food is provided for them, they just have to go pick it up. I think the arrangements differ between countries.

"No junk mail". How witnesses ignore these signs!
by stuckinarut2 inas we know, many people have "no junk mail" signs on their home letterboxes.
this clearly means that they do not want unsolicited mail or advertising material.. so how are witnesses getting around this?.
during the campaign to distribute the convention invitations, when they come across a house with "no junk mail", they are just putting the leaflet inside an envelope and hand writing "to the householder" on the front and putting it in the letterbox!.
