I read that Serena Williams had a baby girl this week:

now that she has announced that she is 20 weeks pregnant and not married, what is her status in the cult?

according to news sources in luanda, angola (read it here, although it's in portuguese language), a regional convention of the jw's taking place this weekend at the outskirts of capital luanda was targeted yesterday, friday, by what may be described as a 'terrorist attack'.. more than 400 attendees (mostly female) passed out in rapid succession in the vicinity of a toilet at the convention place.
reportedly, toxic gas devices were planted there by 3 young members of unita, the main political party that opposed mpla, the dominant regime party in angola since its independence in 1975.
43 people were rushed to the hospital and a few remain there, under medical surveillance.
I have to wonder about the whole story. In Africa, most toilets are simply pits, and there isnt a sewage system like we take for granted. A few guys pouring something in the toilets is unlikely to make it smell any worse than it already is. I suspect there is a more benign explanation.
chapter 24. feed the rounder.
i was dying everyday on the machines.
i prayed.
I have heard a version of the new boy telephone story, but it was where he answered 'Stuefloten's Sweat Shop' (apparently the name of the supervisor), but the gist of the story is the same.
there has been some renewed interest in the meaning of the name jehovah on the forum in recent weeks.
combined with the ongoing discussion about the new "overlapping generation" teaching, speculation among the friends and among the ex-friends has been reaching something of a frenzy.
so it's perhaps appropriate that a little more should be revealed now about the meaning behind some of the perplexing events that have been taking place.
Wow, I can't believe I missed this groundbreaking post 4 years ago! A gem!
i visited a double hall.
one thing i noted on the bulletin board was page 3 of some letter with a large a on it.
apparently there is at least a 4 page letter complete with a proper sized a or b or c to differentiate the sides.
I had been told that the word 'Bulletin' derives fron the 'Papal Bull', a proclamation of the Catholic Church.

Wow, that's terrible. Hopefully no one is injured permanently.
isn't it unbelievable that a jehovah's witness must accept whatever the organization says or they can be disfellowshipped??
unless they tell you that their understanding has changed, you cannot believe anything unless they say it's ok. .
many years ago i questioned them about their ridiculous view that whenever the word "heart" was mentioned, it was a literal blood filled organ.
There was a thread about 5-6 years ago where an Ohio circuit overseer gave a talk to the effect that one must believe a doctrine even if is wrong. Here is the link, in case anyone wants to revisit it:
jehovahs witnesses have been outspoken over the years/decades that christendom have been hiding or obscuring or even eliminating gods name jehovah from the general public.. how true is that statement .?.
1. it was a catholic monk of the 13th century that first coined the name jehovah in the english language.. 2.the roman catholic douay version of the bible does have the name jehovah in it.
about the 16th century.
While this discussion is interesting, it is undeniable that nearly all of the new Bible translations in the last 30 years do not contain the Divine name.

I still call this a victory for Conti and the JW opposers. She basically won her case and received much more than she originally asked for (which I think was 1440.00, or something like that)
chapter 22. the machines conquer all.
after doweling’s committee meeting many of us got job changes out of the laundry.
i guess they wanted to bust the trouble makers up.
One Bethelite I knew said he would hum 'Proud Mary, keep on turnin'' while working the sewing machine, to fit the cadence.
