  New Kingdom Halls in Strip Malls & Real Estate Listings

  i met with a jw today and they showed me a picture of the new style kh build.

  the building was located in a ***strip mall**** in florida.

  i'm always amazed (and disgusted) at the new and inventive ways they think of expanding their real estate holdings.. along that vein...i recently discovered this: .

  Are you suggesting they are building strip malls that include a kingdom hall, or they are leasing space in a strip mall?

  There are legitimate reasons for tracking placements. This is important to develop a link between production and placement. But tracking time is meaningless - except for the obvious reason of controlling the r&f.

  The monthly time report is a part of the coercive control the elders have over the r&f.

  You take away the tool of control and you take away any motivation to participate.

  while we may be overjoyed about the bible truths we have learned, our relatives may mistakenly believe that we have been tricked or have become part of a cult.

  we should show empathy by trying to see things from their viewpoint and by listening carefully to discern their real concerns.

  It is interesting that through my life as a JW through the 1960-80s I never heard about 1925 debacle - not even once!

  What a wonderful organization that is able to bury their history so that the r&f has no idea what their history was. I fear that the same thing is happening related to 1975.

  it's canada day today and not just any canada day, it's canada's 150 birthday.

  for some strange reason i was actually able to reason with my wife day and she agreed with me.

  field service on a special day wouldn't be appropriate.

  New Years, Christmas, Thanksgiving. No holiday is off limits. In fact, there is generally an organized attempt to get the r&f out knocking on doors. God forbid they would be able to enjoy their day off from work.

  i was at the braves stadium in atlanta all 8 days with a sunburn and then wet clothes after the rain storms.

  if you were there (not necessarily in atlanta) do you remember anything about it?

  Canada Bethel (Georgetown) to begin renovations early 2017

  a letter was just read at my midweek meeting that georgetown (canada bethel) will have renovations done on it beginning spring 2017. the letter asked for publishers who are electricians/plumbers/etc.

  and in good standing to apply to help out.

  those helping out will be considered "part-time commuters" and will only be at the property for about 3 days a week and must reside outside of bethel and pay for all their own expenses.

  does anyone have any info and/or contact info on these two people?

  i would love to just send a thank you to them, because it was that jc meeting mp3 that really gave me confidence and helped me learn how to casually overcome objections by zealous jws.. anyone?

  Somehow I think Cyndi is a JW troll.

  If you look at her profile she has been a member 9 years and this is the only post. That sounds like a troll to me. There is clearly no credibility to her comment.
