Thank you Tenacious for bumping this thread. Eric was a friend of many on this site. His pain was real.

to date JWism has defined my life and i hate that TRUTH
by oompa inand i am finding the adjustment to the real world far more difficult than i ever imagined...i f...it has been about five years since i totally woke up to the fraudulant nwt and then all my other doubts i had carried for years were proved true as well.
but almost all of my few friends are exjw or slack jw's and i feel so isolated...my sons friends are mostly exjw too but not their gf's and they have way more normal friends .
how have you done at replacing lifelong friends and family?

While you are sitting back having a good laugh, there is a team of lawyers in watchtower land wondering who bought this site. You did not make this a pleasant day for the Watchtower.
BTY - I am sure you realize that there is a significant monetary value for the website "jehovahs-witnesses.com." When the time is right they will pay a lot of money for the URL. Consider that transaction your retirement fund.

Patient dies as JW paramedic refuses to administer blood product -- thanks, Religious Freedom Act!
by FatFreek 2005 in(i realize this topic may have already been addressed so i apologize in advance.).
no, that's not a real headline but i suppose it could be one here in arkansas -- one of several states in the us that has a religious freedom law on their books.. as i understand it, if i, as a jw paramedic, am ordered to deliver a blood product to my patient, i can refuse to do so based on my religious freedom.
as a logical consequence, a patient could die.. would paramedic be an occupation be that one of jehovah's witnesses simply cannot accept, knowing fully well that you would be in a likely position to administer blood..

I have worked in a hospital setting for many years. I know of several JW nurses who administered blood. I know of none who worked in a hospital and refused. I think this would be a cause for termination.
If a nurse does not want to be a part of this, she or he can simply work in a setting where blood is not administered.

March Broadcast- Jehovah is speeding up the work
by adjusted knowledge ini watched some of the segments on the jw broadcast.
in the video they showed how they managed their inventory orders for the congregations.
at the conclusion it was stated by the narrator how god is speeding up the work.. the problem is the system they implemented has been used for over two decades in logistics.

What they really are doing is making their logistics more efficient to lessen labor hours.
They are adapting their inventory system to replicate the best practices establshed by satan's wicked world. Count this 1 for Satan, 0 for jehober

15 Years of Jehovahs-Witness.com
by Simon inyes, today is the forum's 15th birthday!.
i never thought for one moment that it would survive this long or have so many people post so many great subjects over the years.. it is still humbling when i get pm's or emails from people expressing how the site has helped them and of course thanks goes to all the posters who have shared their experiences and make helpful and supportive comments to others who are in the sometimes difficult process of learning the real truth about 'the truth'.. the site has gone through several different incarnations over the last 15 years running on different platforms, different databases and different hosts but we've been able to keep all the old topics.
the current site is still being developed and i'm hoping to push another major upgrade soon.. i also may have some other news to share soon about the future of the site so stay posted.. until then, here's the the next 15 years!

How is Joe Publisher reacting to all the TV coverage on the abuse cases?
by 4thgen inplease pardon if this a repeated topic.
i have had virtually no contact with any witnesses beside my mother for the past few years.
she watches tv constantly and claims she has never seen anything on the watchtower abuse cases.

It is all viewed as persecution and is just one more proof that we are very near the end of this old wicked system of things. -

Do JW Children Still Call Adults "Aunt" and "Uncle"?
by cofty inwhen i was young we were taught to refer to other adult jws as aunt or uncle.. was this also the case in other countries and does it still happen?.
was it just a custom or has the literature ever commented on it?.
thanks.

I never saw this practice in the U.S. kingdom halls I attended. The practice is common in some cultures. We have some friends where I am known as uncle NY. I think they make the kids use the uncle because just using my first name would be considered disrespectful. -

Mandatory voting in USA
by Sour Grapes ini am sure that president obama's saying today that mandatory voting in the usa would be a good thing is going to get the witnesses all excited as they look forward to being persecuted for not voting.
just another sign showing how deep we are into the times of the end and how close they are to burying billions of people who don't read the watchtower.. sour grapes .

Mandatory voting will never happen, I don't think that Obama was suggesting that he was going to actively promote this. He was making a point - and I think an interesting one.
That said, I agree with your assessment Sour, his comment will be viewed as additional proof that the end is near.
