the above explanation didn't make sense to me then and it never did make sense throughout my jw career.
over time, it appeared to me the real purpose of field service time reporting was to gauge one's spirituality and for the ceo *cough* co to make sure the elders were on top of things during his visit..

"See, I told you so!!"
by stuckinarut2 ina thought occurred to me that most humans (whether they like to admit it or not) love to take a firm and proud stance on something, and love to be able to say to others "see, i told you so!".
this arrogance creates a proud and determined mindset to make people dig their heels in on a stance they have taken - all in the hope that they can one day be proven right, and therefore prove someone else wrong.. so it is with most witnesses.
they are so desperate to be proven correct after all they have invested in their faith, and they have a keen desire to say "see i told you so!".

JW.org is a real estate and publishing company disguesd as a religion.
by UNCONDITIONAL LOVE insince my awakening i have tried to understand why and how people could continue to believe so blindly in a proven false "religious" cult that has such an extensive and detailed record of scandals, lies and cover ups???
i've come to the personal conclusion that there are three major reasons.

Assembly experiences that strech the truth
by karter inelder and his wife build a flash house.. they go on the stage at an assembly and give an experiences of how they sold the flash house to simplify their life so they can go pioneering.. the real story.. elder and wife can't afford the flash house and have to sell it he never goes pioneering she does until they are declared bankrupt.. why were they bankrupt?.
the money leaft over from the flash house they invested in a yet to be build apartment and the developer goes bankrupt takeing their money.. just one of many.. karter..

Thanks for the clarification. I wonder why the C.O. is promoting fiscal irresponsibility and stupidity.
It sounds like this family has not a lick of sense related to finance. I found that most problems the r&f faced were of their own making.

Losing my Hold On JW speak. Has it Happened to You Yet and if so, How?

JW speak changes over time. Remember that an RV used to be a back call (BC). And don't walk into a KH and ask to speak to the PO.
The changing language helps define who is up to date with current truths. Language filters out the renegades. For example, if you tell an elder you would like to vacation pioneer - the elder will drag your ass to the back room and disfellowship you on the spot.

Anyone go on a cruise?
by NewYork44M injust finished a 7-day cruise from nyc on norwegian cruise line (ncl- gem).
this is my first cruise in 30 years, so my past experience does not count.. overall, a great experience.
ncl does a great job.

Where is the best site to get a good deal on a cruise? We went through a travel agent. In retrospect, I did not think the travel agent created any value. Are there good web sites where you can find cruise deals?
