  jws have one of the worst, if not the worst, retention rates among their kids.

  i've seen numbers from 65% to 88% who leave, never to return.. you'd think this would be a priority amongst the leadership, right?

  where do tomorrow's leaders come from, if the vast majority of kids leave the organization?

  There are in a difficult situation. I agree with your assessment that the young ones are leaving. However, they have angered many older ones with their move to iPads and other high tech forms of communication.

  Everything is done for a reason. I cannot believe that the Watchtower would develop a video like this without an awareness of how it will be received.

  This is an extension of their very hard-line approach to everything - the same hard line approach that excluded Kevin from the bunker. The watchtower is not interested in new recruits. They are interested in solidifying their role with the extremely faithful.

  im sure someone's probably made a topic about this already but i can't believe that there weren't any new releases besides the movies.

  Were there quite conversations about how this was probably our last convention? That used to be the topic after every convention I ever attended.

  I can see these bunker videos really stirring up the emotions of those let that 100% stable. Which, defines most of the R&F.

  They are clearly designing these with an end goal - which is to sell. I am not sure that they will be successful in this strategy, but at least it is a strategy.

  The 1975 Generation---are they still around?

  i was raised as a jw and 1975 expectations were pretty intense.

  as i recall, most people did not leave after the failed expectations but many s l o w e d down.

  now, i think most of the 1975 witnesses are gone or barely in.. is the older generation still around in the kingdom halls or are they much gone?.

  I graduated high school in 1975. I am aware that some of my peers are still in, but many are out. I suspect that maybe 30-40% have remained.
