hi, i'm 17 and i've just recently become a member of this website and i want you to know what has happened to me over the past months.back in sep/oct 2001 i started chatting to a 20 year old bloke via the internet and we developed a great friendship over the net.we would talk online for ages,text and phone each other loads,we sent each other photos of ourselves and he would often put his webcam on for me to see.before i knew it he played a great part in my everyday life...and i spent so much time chatting to him that my college work suffered a lot & i wasn't doing my coursework (i eventually got told to leave as i hadn't done loads of the assignments and stuff & had fallen behind).
after about 6 months we arranged to meet up (i made sure my parents were at home coz i know it's dodgy to meet people from the internet).anyway,he came round my house one evening in march and we got along soo well...he lives quite locally too which was good.our friendship then grew into a relationship and we started dating and going out together,i was sooo happy and i fell for him in a massive way & he said he felt the same way too.to me,he was a girls dream come true...he was kind,caring,fit,good-looking & gentle and i loved him to bits!,i still do,and i thought we'd be together forever.
something that i did find a bit strange though was i hadn't met his family yet or heard my boyfriend talk much about them.i would question him about his family but he seemed to get a bit funny about it and when i mentioned about meeting his family he said something along the lines of ''they're a bit strange,you might not like them'' (or something like that anyway).that got me thinking and i though prehaps they lived in a run-down place or something,or they wern't very nice people and i thought my b/f could be ashamed to let me meet them.i thought to myself to give him time & he'll see that i'm an understanding & nice person and hoped that he would soon come out and tell me what the problem was (thinking it was about what i've just mentioned).

Maybe you could invite your boyfiend over to your home and both of you TOGETHER could study the information on these pages. He will probably tell you that he is "not allowed to read 'apostate' web sites", but it is worth a try.

a moment ago i was sitting here typing a post and all the while i kept hearing a polite little "meow" from one of my cats every ten or twenty seconds.
after submitting the post i looked down to pet the cat and to my horror its tail was under one of the wheels of my chair.
(on a hard floor) .
Oh, poor little baby! You'll just have to give it some extra love and kisses to make up for it.
i was raised a jw since childhood.
besides the emotional trauma that comes with being an outsider from the rest of the real world, my father was phsically, mentally and verbally abusive to my 2 younger sisters and i. apparently my mother seemd to be so brainwashed with the ideas of respect for headship and all the other bs she didn't do anything about the abuse.needless to say my father was also an elder, sheperding the flock while at home beating his children senseless.
after 20 years of this and all 3 children leaving home by the age of 16,something finally clicked in her head.
Hi LittleAngrypolishgirl, I am so sorry you have had to go through such hurtful things. Welcome to the board. Please feel free to vent your feelings on this site as many who post here can understand how you feel. By venting and letting it out, you will find that it can be very freeing and healing. NewLight2

my mom was at the district convention last weekend.
i had found this site shortly before she went.
When she mentions that you have "left Jehovah", explain to her that the "organization" is NOT the same as "Jehovah". Then ask her to explain why she feels you have left "Jehovah" vs an organization. When she uses things like not attending meetings etc, try to get her to see that you CAN still "love Jehovah" because Jehovah is not the same as the Organization. Make HER prove that claim from the Bible. Place the burden of proof on her, not yourself. That will also give you an opening to discuss things with her like the UN issue. Get her to question the "organization" by planting seeds of doubt in her mind. NewLight2
; my mother is jw i was 15 years old at the time my mom would go house to house with the wife of the brother and my dad went to work sensce the morning to night this happened over the summer (by the way i never was interested in this religion i thought it was boring and i didnt accept alot of things they did) well anyways back to that summer i was at home alone mom with the sister ,dad at work and the husband of the sister hernandez went to my house told me he wanted to read me the bible we sat down on a table we had outside and started to read the bible as he read he pulled out his penis to me i was in shock and scared i ran inside the house locked everydooor when my mom got home i told her what happened and she called me a lier you acusser you have the devil in you those were her words i told my dad he did nothing sensce my mom was very controlling with him, the next several days he would call and harass me and go knock on all the windows of my house when my mom was with his wife, 5 years later i got married and my hubby and i started to study with them there was a part where the brother said that in the jw they wer clean and perfect and that nobody did anything wrong so i brought up the padst and told them my story the did a little investigation and found 5 other girls who by now were now married and they decided to do a little court and the only reason why they didnt df himn was because i could not describe his penis if it was circumsise or not at that time ididnt even know what that was now i do because i have my kids i told myself how could this religion allowed someone like this be teeling the word of god and putting god first and then doing something so terrible!
now my brother is baptised he dont talk to me anymore because i wont forget about the past and i commit to the jw well his lost .
all my life i felt that my mom never loved me.

just so i don't miss anybody who is interested.... my results from the ekg and the echogram showed a severe leak in a heart valve.
i am going for an angiogram on the 15th but the cardiologist says the liklihood is great that i will need open heart surgery.
rare for a 30 year old but if necessary, it is necessary.. no word yet on the results of the blood work for liver enzymes and hepatitis.
So Sorry to hear this, cyg. I have really enjoyed reading your posts in the past, both from H2O and now here. Everything will be alright. My 83 yr old Mom (two yrs ago) and 70 yr old aunt (1 and a half yrs ago) both have also had open heart by-pass surgery and are doing just fine now. You are a lot younger and will come through with flying colors, too.

i have just received word the dateline program will re-air this weekend on msnbc.
msnbc is a news program along the format of cnn, dateline has a contract through nbc and when they have an exceptional program msnbc runs it again.
the program will is called dateline weekend edition which airs 2-3 times over the weekend.
You may also want to check your local NBC station for this airing. Mine airs this "week-end" edition after midnight Sun pm. - early Mon am time.
