  Enjoyed another sunset!

  well, since chat is down, i'm forced to go outside and enjoy the sunsets.

  My two year anniversary

  well, it is 32 minutes into my second year of posting here.

  when i came here, i knew nothing of h2o, kent's place or freeminds site, though i did get his newsletter.

  when i came here, i certainly did know the jw experience.

  The best darn tree I've ever seen

  we put up our first xmas tree tonight and damn it looks awesome!

  i really should be hired out as a professional tree decorator or something.

  i mean this good on the first try!?

  flower, just got done putting up a tree here too. Didn't get a fiber optic this year, everything was picked over. We couldn't even find a multi colored light tree, so we bought one with the clear and added color lights. We added the colored glass balls and a glass star is at the top with lights in it. My sister gave me my first ornament (a moose) last but not least we hung candy canes.

  why did you choose the nickname you did for this forum??

  also who do you think has the coolest/funniest/weirdest name on the board?

  i choose kelpie because that is my partner's nickname for me as my initials are klp.

  Kelpie, I chose myself because I was tired of being what "others" wanted me to be. I found out that I like me just the way I am. Not to mention it makes other posters sound funny when they are addressing myself.

  Report on news coverage in DALLAS!!!!

  well, all i can say is wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  they have been preparing everyone by way on tv and radio on the sexual abuse in the jw religion.

  they had a small piece on the 6 o'clock news with a small interview with bill bowen.

  How long are people remembered?

  unless you are famous for something how long are you really remembered?.

  maybe you are remembered at most by your grandchildren, but then your presence in the universe is gone.. so, really, what difference does it make whether you die in your 40's or your 70's, your memory simply lingers another 30 years at most.

  The pattern has repeated itself over and over again. People get to know me and then either drift away from me or cast me out of their lives.

  Joelbear, it takes work from both sides of a friendship to make it work, believe me I know. Are you letting them drift away? Be a friend and find out why they are drifting. Do you initiate contact too, or leave it up to them?

  Comf brings out such an awesome point about being your own best friend first. I went thru manic depression and I really hated myself for a long time. I was suicidal during this time.It made me difficult and depressing for others to be around me. Sometimes we put up barriers around ourselves without realizing it, thinking that we are protecting ourselves when in fact we are causing our own isolation. Joelbear you can find peace without traveling to another demension to attain it.
