i had an assignment to write a bunch of holiday articles that would be shared by all the various papers owned by the guy who owns the paper i'm the editor of.
after i'd had enough with the usual holiday stuff, i decided to get a little adventerous and expanded one in the series to include, not just the origins of christmas foods, but also some ideas i've been reading and watching about the origins of the chrisitain religion itself.. this is a link to the article, which ran a few weeks ago: .

Sorry you had to write that disclaimer. Unbelievable that there was such a fuss over that. All Christmas season, there have been shows on television, about Jesus, did he exist?, the origins of the Christian movement, all of them questioning things and presenting historical facts, but you can't write about it?

Skeptics please answer this for me: Last summer I went to a Tarot Card reader, who was doing readings at a booth in a restaurant. She had never seen me before. She laid out the cards and told me that my husband and I run our own business, with some of our children, and also said I have 4 children. She said we support several families (this is true and the business does support 4 families total, including one employee) and that the business is successful, but will be more successful next year. She said lots of other things, but that one really got me.
How could she know that?
She also said she saw an old man, and that I had unfinished business concering him, and that he might be someone who is dead. Well.........my father died in January last year, and we still have not buried his ashes at the military cemetery where he has a plot. I just keep delaying. It had been weighing on me that day, and I had talked about it with my friends.
I'm not saying I'm a total believer in this stuff, but I'm open to the possibilities, especially after this experience.
since my dad passed away, i have his computer and desk now, added to mine.
so, in my small computer room 12 x 10 feet, i have 2 desks and 2 computers....lmao.
now, i don't know from which one to post from.. .
my desk is a mess..............too embarrassing to post a picture of it.
so, i have a good job, but i hate my boss.

it's not even worth going to hr about because she makes sure you get fired if you do that, but not before dragging your reputation through the mud.
My husband and two of our sons own a drywall company. I am their bookkeeper.
I also do a little internet marketing (selling nutritional and vitamin supplements on my own website) and I make more money doing that.
I cleaned houses for about 12 years. There was real money in that, but I just got too old to do such hard work. I was spending about half of my income on the chiropractor for my bad back. It's been soooo much better since I closed that business.

if you ran a business based on how much literture that has been printed which i would like to know about (just a rough guestimate) how much literture has been printed compared to how many witnesses are still left, don't you think this is a terrible ran business?
how much money do they spend annually on bethelites, co;s, do's and special pioneers and missionaries.

If a business was paying it's workers to do what the JW's. do, and had the results they get, it would fail. With all volunteer workers, a person's time is of no consequence. Production isn't valued. The money keeps pouring in and they aren't paying their labor.

I like her very much, and I do wonder about the things she "sees". Her connection to religion always bothered me though. She loves Jesus and talks about the holy spirit all the time.
A couple of years ago she said that Bin Laden was dead. Probably not.
She also predicted two years ago that Brad Pitt and Jennifer would break up. But, she also said Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell were breaking up. That didn't happen.
Who knows?
I went to a Tarot card reader last summer with two of my girlfriends who were visiting from out of town. They are ex JW's, and we thought it would be a hoot. It was freakin scary. She was so right on with all three of us. She asked me what my husband's birthday is, and did a reading on him too, that was incredibly accurate, right down to details about our business. She didn't ask about the other gal's husbands. They aren't married, but did wear rings. She had no idea who we were ahead of time. She was in a booth at a Chinese restaurant. There is no way she could have prepared for us.

after several years of a great friendship with diane (previously posted as xena) things have started to really come together recently and i've succumbed to making an honest woman of her (or at least as honest as it's possible to make her.
last night (xmas day) i popped the question and she agreed to marry me (i wonder if she knows what she's let herself in for!!!)..

Here's one I found of my father, asleep under the Christmas tree. I think he was one year old. (the photo says 1913, but that would have made him only two weeks old..............he did weigh 12 pounds at birth) So, what do you think? 2 weeks or 1 year?
