I thought it was a good movie. As far as being factually true???????
I can't discount the possibility of it actually happening.

what do americans in general actually really know about the big outside world outside of their own culture?.
it's certainly not just me, but for years since early childhood in fact, it has been commonly accepted by many, that americans in general are the biggest ignorant fools residing almost anywhere on the planet, yet they still do their damndest to have everyone believe what a great nation they are.
is it even beyond their comprehension how foolish they look often to the rest of the world, the fact that they have so little understanding of problems on the worldwide front?.
Simon; deactivation would not be reasonable, Mark threw out the bait and people took it. What I am curious about is the reason he did so. Just to start trouble for his own amusement, a bit of a test of some kind?
Mark; There are idiots and fools and troublemakers everywhere, not confined to one country or geographic area. You would, probably, enjoy a visit in the U.S. but not in MY area.

have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the declaration of independence?
five signers were captured by the british as traitors, and tortured before they died.
twelve had their homes ransacked and burned.
Q, Excellent post!!

when will it end?
seems it stayed the same years ago for a good while and now it rises every year or two.. geez!.
I think that .37 to mail a letter is a bargain. Isn't a local pay phone call more than that?

i was just sitting here, reflecting on my day.
the last month has basically been pretty crappy for me and a rollercoaster of emotions.
i knew i was in bad shape when my landlord told me i could have absolutely no pets in my apartment.
The peacefulness of a cool early morning.
I am unable to sleep late since I have sobered up.

a short version,if you haven't heard it already.. abc asked toby keith to appear on their fourth of july special, hosted by peter jennings.in fact they asked keith to open the show with his new patriotic song courtesy of the red, white and blue.that was until jennings got around to listening to the song, apparentley.after which he found the lyrics personally offensive, and insisted that keith be cut from the show.in particular, the line"we'll put a boot in your ass/cause it's the american way"(i've posted the complete lyrics on the thread vincent's goes underground,in case you're interested).
reaction from the music community, both country and pop,has been overwhelmongly in keith's favor.an oklahoma city radio station has started a drive to collect old boots (the crustier, the better).sign 'em,bring 'em in and they'll ship the lot to jennings...guess he can figure out where they're intended to go.several other stations across the country are doing the same.. on a related note, charlie daniels was cut from pbs's fourth of july special because he planned to do his new song the last fallen hero.pbs spokesmen said they had hoped that charlie would perform "some zesty fiddle tunes".... sad that our celebration of freedom isn't free.... nuff said,.
cowboy.
Isn't Jennings Canadian?

we all know the bible's view on capital punishment.
in fact, in the 1969 edition of aid to bible understanding, the author notes the following: .
"the value of life is considered so sacred by god that the blood of a murdered person is viewed by him as defiling the earth and such defilement can be cleansed only by shedding the blood of the murdered.
I don't agree with abortion so I guess I can't condone capital punishment. Serving extremely cruel and adruous time in prison would make a more lasting impression.....Sort of like the HELL FIRE treatment.

i've spent a lot of time on allmusic.com and it amazes me how much nirvana is mentioned when the reviewers rate other albums.
so its a no brainer that nirvana's work should probably have a place in every rock collection, but what are some other albums every rock fan should listen to if not own.
