I don't miss Outlaw. To me he was the "neighbor's dog". Sometimes barking at stuff in the middle of the night. Very disruptive to the constructive flow of conversation. If this were a well moderated board he would have been gone a long time ago.

Proof of the 75' incident
by iamwhoiam inok, am i correct in saying that the fds never stated armegedon was coming in 75'?
however, they led everyone to believe it was coming in 75'?.
if the latter question is true, can you provide links to talks or articles that point to this?

I personally discussed 1975 with Karl Klein and he said it was Fred Franz's baby and that it did much damage.

If you never have used the internet, would you have returned to the borg or stay in the organization?

I would have been disfellowshipped by now if it weren't for the internet. I have disagreed with more and more Watchtower teachings ever since 1971. If I couldn't talk to people on the internet about how I feel I would have talked too much in the congregation and would have been kicked out.
Every year since 1971 I had to add to my list of false teachings.
Currently I don't believe in a single thing that they teach other than common decency that all religions believe in.
I still go to a few meetings with my wife. I rationalize that she married me 40 years ago as a witness with certain expectation.
So I give her the dignity of having her husband sit next to her. My mind is elsewhere.

How Will The Watchtower Handle Disclosure?
by metatron infor me, the disclosure of ufo's as being real is just matter of time.
it's not a matter of any mayan calendar or galactic alignment.
it's simply the eventual outcome of increasing and increasingly bold ufo observations.

My family and few neighbors had a UFO experience. I never believed in them. But now I have absolutely no doubt. I've given up explaining it because people who know me and know that I am a rational person believe our experience but are basically dumbfounded. What can you say? All you can do is speculate on their intentions. I made my report like thousands of other on MUFON.
I don't believe in alien landings, crashes, abductions, animal mutilation, or anal probes. Those kinds of "Alien" experiences don't fit into what you would expect of visitors from an advanced civilization.
Just like we don't want species to go extinct I think there are alien's that have an interest in preserving sentient species. I think we will finally see their power at the point that we are in the process of destroying ourselves with nuclear weapons.
They will give us the least amount of information possible just so that we can get through that cosmic crisis. It will result in a reorientation of how humanity needs to be governed.

I've got to believe that there are some clever Watchtower writers that are gaming the "old guys" to see how much crap they will sign off on.
There has to be a couple writers that know they are going to make an exit and so they want to leave some turds around for people to step in.
Otherwise how can you explain such grandiose (stupid) statements. Kind of a tail waggin the dog.

Comment by Watctower conductor at my wife's hall: Paragraph 10 and 11 about Peter
"Notice brothers there's no asterisk with a little note that says " If your opinion differs from what we have said please write us because we're interested in getting other opinions. Remember brothers the channel of communication flows one direction only - from Jehovah down through the faithful slave. Your job is to allign your thinking with the faithful slave."
At that point I told my wife I will be back to pick her up in a half hour.
I can't believe I gave the better part of 60 years of my life for that.

A further note on the Russian Apartment Bombings:
The Wikipedia article tries to show both sides of the issue implicating Putin and the FSB.
Here is an article that was written for GQ Magazine which was banned in Russia.
This is what happens in REAL conspiracies.

The one conspiracy theory I believe:
The Russian FSB carried out the bombings of apartement complexes in 1999. The bombs that killed hundreds of low income tennants was blamed on the Chechens and was a pretense for starting a war to regain control of Chechnya.
Putin was Yeltsins prime minister at the time. A corruption investigation was closing in on Yeltsin and a plan was set up to have Yeltsin resign and Putin take over the presidency. The Chechen war was meant to distract people from this process and enhance the reputation of Putin so he could take over and assure Yeltsin that he would be immune from prosecution.
An incident of an attempted bombing of an apartment building in Ryazan clearly pointed to the FSB.
Read the whole section in Wikipedia on Russian Apartment Bombings
The reason you should read this is because this an example of the problem with actual conspiracies. There is always a high risk of something going wrong. People have to be killed to shut them up. There has to be an immediate pay-off because of a desperate situation. Huge conpiracies spanning generations with payoffs in the distant future are impossible.
