I have lost my best girl, my confidante, my child even, and there is a hole in my heart . Her daughter , Amber is living with me as she has much of her life, so I have that to keep me focused.

gawd, i forgot how immersed jw's are.

everything you see has some part of the wts involved with it, from the calendar on the fridge to the pictures on the walls, you can't get away from it.

of course i love my brother to death, but i tell ya, i've only been here overnight and it's already getting to me.

I would double dog dare you to go to the hall, but that could seriously put you in a state of severe depression , or give you Post Traumtic Stress Disorder, so it aint worth it, unless you are drunk!

D, Denny should be home next week so I will let you know and we can have a night on the town and then you can come to the house and we can really catch up . I am sick as a dog , my tonsils are swollen,yuk, but I am on meds and hope to be in better form next week.

We look forward to seeing ya D, and we have a place to take you, live bands play there, not big at all but the bartender can make the best drinks.

Howdy D !!!

Oh man do I have an assignment for you........talk to A. and find out what everyone is saying about me and Denny, find out all the trash....lol.

I still am not sure if people think we left because someone pissed us off or apostates. I often wonder if people think I am only out of the borg because I am only following Denny. Let me know any info on my Dad if you can.

Oh and do tell me, who got d/f , I am sure I know them. Some of them need to get d/f and stop pretending to be what they are not. I am still waiting to see a few get what is coming to them, as being d/f will just do them in.

many years ago i remember suddenly how the bible study servant who was third in command got removed from his position, and was reproved for having a fling with his bible student who was much younger and very married too.

actually, her husband came in the hall while he was substuting as a watchtower conductor and i was reading and screamed all sorts of profanities to him all the while screaming that he was "f***king his wife"!

when the man told him, "i wanna talk to you", the elder said, "not now".

The most scandalous thing in our circuit was in my immediate family, and people still talk about it to this day.

My father was the PO, my Mom was addicted to prescription drugs, that was talk enough but it got worse. She overdosed , because she knew he was fooling around and she didnt want to face it. He was having an affair with a sister in our congregation who was only 8 yrs older than me. The other elders found out about all of this about the time I was getting married and hunted my Dad down to get him,,,,guess they had some old scores to settle , I know they did. Mom is in rehab she hooks up with a guy there, starts smoking and gets d/f , so does my dad and the other woman. A few months later my Mom committed suicide. 20 years later my Dad still is not even a Min. Servant as far as I know. The body of elders no matter where he goes, will not appoint him because of the scandal and people havent forgotten. My dad is has been married to that sister he cheated with and I have a 14 yr old half sister. Good dubs they all are .

Thanks for the perspective Eyebrow, I am growing closer to my daughter , because I truly love her style and her ideas. I have raised her to be true to herself and as long as she stays like she is now I will have no problem. I have grown tolerate of the stares she gets as we walk thru the mall, even I gringe at times at her Beetlejuice white and red stockings and big chunky black heels. I would throw down if someone said something truly ugly to her .

I guess to be honest alot of what I fear is what other people think , I mean it doesnt consume me but it is there. I worry that people think she worships the devil, I worry people will think she is going to go crazy and shoot up the hood. I know she is not, I know her,,,,,,but ya know it is kind of hard having just a few kids who are goth living in such a small town.

In our town, you either go to church and pretend to be holy, or you are a known partying drunk. I know people talk and I wish they took the time to get to know her before they assume she worships the devil.

My daughter doesnt do drugs, she isnt sleeping with boys, ( many of the good church goers little daughters are thou) so I feel she is pretty grounded. She is only 12 , so I know I have many issues that will come up with her, goth or not. Her older Brother , Mr . American Eagle himself , sure has given me pains in the ass from time to time. Goes to show it really doesnt matter what you are on the outside, kids are kids.

Flyinghighnow, I would love to sit and talk to you about this.....lol. My daughter is 12 and a few years ago she started dressing in her own style. If we go to the movies or to the mall, she is dressed in black lace, dark eye shadow and well you now all the goth garb. We fight about it sometimes because it is quite outlandish and so not mainstream. She HATES American Eagle and will not even walk in that store. I know it might be a phase, but I don't know.

She loved Ozzy before I did , when she was 3, she has always been different .

When we left the borg, i let her choose , have a choice to be her own person.

Now I am not so sure I should not have put the brakes on more about this goth stuff. I have to say I understand as I tend to gravitate to the darker side of things , but it is private. With Goths, it is so out there.

She loves only horror movies, she love Hot Topic and those Living Dead Dolls.

If she stays like she is we wont have too many problems but if the Goth side gets any darker, I will have to do something ,,,,,,what I am not sure.

Any advice and how old is your daughter?
