misc goofy witness stuff

we had a house near the kingdom hall where we always started out time when i was a pioneer.

there was never anyone home.

we always left a back copy.

i gave the talk from the youth book at the ministry school on the chapter about masturbation and homosexuality. they wanted an expert.

I remember those, I told my hubby to not dare put our 14 yr old son down to do any of those talks....there was a short supply of brothers to give these. My hubby made this MS do it who seemed to actually enjoy talking on stage about this.....gross!!

I remember my Dad made me tell how much I loved the chapter in the old red Youth book....."growing into womanhood",,,,,I did it , but was embarrassed and really had no clue what all that meant, I was like 8 yrs old!!! again........gross!

I still think to this day there was too much said from the stage , that would terrorize children.....graphic details about abortions, staying faithful to Jah while having your fingers and toes chopped off,,,,,,,etc. etc. There was too much sex talk that is for sure,,,,,on how evil it was.

what is it with the majority of inlaws that seem to thrive on making your life hell???

?my fiance's mother is really getting to me ive put up with a year of her opinions thrown in my face and year of her telling me how to raise my son.

she has completely taken over our wedding day and at our engagement her daughter who is also my bridesmaid turned up 2 hours late to our engagement party drunk and brought her friends and had her own little party, it aslso took her another hour to come and say hi to me!!!

My MIL is more of a mother figure to me than my own mother ever was. I didnt understand her for along time and there were times things were said and done that seem silly now. She has been my MIL for 20 yrs now and as I grew up, each year I understood her more and more. I guess I had to have my own children to understand the love she had for her five. When my son started dating his g/f and they were together for over a year, I understood how my MIL must have felt when her son left home and got with me....I know my MIL gave all of her time and attention to taking care of her kids because she had to, my FIL had to work off just like my hubby does now . I had to learn to let my son have his own time and that he was growing up.

I think some MIL just seem to be all nosey and into your business but maybe it is not for hateful reasons, maybe it is because they still want to be loved and needed . After 18 or more years of taking care of your kids if they do live close it would be hard for me not to be involved in their lives everyday....lol. I guess I will just have to see how I will be. I have always said I won't interfer with my grandkids if the parents choose one way and I think it should be another, so I hope my kids choose good mates and raise their kids in a healthy home.

Like I said,,,,,,,I do understand my MIL so much more now that I am older and I wish I had tried years ago to get to know her. She had a very hard life with her parents and now that I have lived life , and have had some crappy experiences, I can understand that sometimes she can seem harsh and bitter. But she has a big heart and she shows it more now as well. Just different personalities was alot of why we didnt understand each other. My daughter is sooo much like her grandmother my MIL and I think that is going to make her a strong person , in this world you need to be.

So just give it time with your MIL, don't sweat the small stuff and understand that she loves her son and will grow to love you like a daughter too, it just takes time and getting to know each other.

We laughed and we cried.....she is leaving Friday.

yeah , my sister and i laughed and cried all day yesterday, because friday she is leaving my home and moving hundreds of miles away.. i am sure you have read wanderlust's love story thread, the love of his life he speaks of is my sister ginger.

she is three years younger than me but for most of my life i was more of a mother to her than our mother was.. it hurts to think that she physically will not be here.

but i am so glad that she has found love and happiness with donnie , again.

You are gonna love her Richie, she loves life and with Donnie she is going to be so happy. Of course when I come to visit we can all hook up and have a mini apostafest, I would love that.

Does being a JW make a person physically sick?

definitely mentally and more than likely physically.. i have read on a few posts and freeminds about an increase of mental illness amoungst jws of between 2 and 40 % and it seems understandable considering the amount of stress being in the borg puts on people.. but what about physically?.

what are your experiences since leaving the borg?.

do you feel well and fitter than ever before?.

OH yeah I beleive it did that to me. I was very sick as a child ,, arthrititis, tonsilities, bronchitis, quite often. I had a bought with Mono....and no I didnt kiss anyone.....lol.....that lasted , replased for a year. I was in an abusive home, with drug abuse going on as well,,,,,,,,so mentally, you can see how things were.

As a JW elder's wife,,,,,,, I started getting sicker after my last baby was born,,,,,,,,3 kids, the pressure of two of them with ADD, one almost didnt live to see his first birthday, and for three years I didnt know how his health would turn out.

I had pressure to do more, more service, go out in service with other people instead of just my hubby, so as to set the proper example. All of my life I had to be an elder's daughter or elder's wife and set the freakin' proper example.......My hubby was good about it and well, he did his best to keep them off of my back and it came down to him telling them they were making me sick.........literally.

Right before we left the borg, I was suffering from migraines and fibromyalgia so bad, I was getting demerol shots at the ER, more and more. Most of the time I cried, moaned and suffered in my room, in deep depression.

I really believe all the pressure and my own conflict of conscience with the JW way of life, even thou I thought I loved it and that it was 100% true , there was something wrong. I guess this all manifested itself in tension, constant stress and depression. All this just made the illnesss I already had, 100 times worse.

Now borg free, I still have boughts of fibromyalgia , usually if there is bad weather changes, or severe stress. I havent had to have a migraine shot since I left the borg.

The proof is in the puddin' huh? lol

I just watched her drive away,,,I watched and waved , and cried as she honked her car out of sight.....that has been a family tradition for 2 generations.

We exchanged some special items to each other and I tried my best to write a letter that wouldnt make her cry, I cried the whole time writing most of it. Of course , we cried over that...lol, and laughed and said we weren't going to cry.

In a few hours she will be with Donnie, and she will not be alone anymore , and I will be so glad when she meets up with him. I miss Denny even more now , because he is not home. I held my children a little closer and tighter last night, and they will be a comfort to me now, as well as her daughter who is still with me another 2 weeks .

I have to remember to be positive but my heart feels a little cracked , losing so many loved ones due to death, distance , or the cult makes it hard to say goodbye , even if it is temporary.

i have a friend that was/is hooked on methamphetamine, not sure what eles,,,,,,,probably a little bit of other street drugs.. we are taking him to a pshc.

doctor on thursday because he suffers from panic attacks as well.

he has suffered with those for all of his life.

((((((( all of you ))))))), I am so happy to hear that some of you lived it and made it to the other side . This is going to be hard , because I don't think he is going to give it up. Deep in my heart, I just feel he isnt going to turn it loose. Maybe , I just got a bad feeling. I think he is buying his time, until he can break away and run again.

Thanks for the support and I may be sending some of you some PM's as time goes on........I swear I hope I have good news, I know it will always be something he will crave, but God , I hope he can make it .

But the daughter...........the things she says.........I don't know which is worse , the actions of boys, or girls who are sassy.

Protecting the identity of child sexual offenders is WRONG!

i'm so pissed right now that i have to get this out.

my friend and i took the kids out to the beach yesterday.

she has a 3 year old little girl and a 10 year old step son.

Ya know I worry about my kids so much,,,,,,,,you just never know who , even kids might molest them.

I always know where my kids are , who the parents are, if there are older boys in the home, etc. I even watch the girls my kids go visit , because like I said you just can't tell by the way things look on the outside how they are on the inside of someone's home.

A bunch of new kids have been down for the summer in our neighborhood and I won't let my kids walk in the woods to the tracks, or even go down the hwy to get snowcones alone. They think I am unfair, and" so and so's mom lets them and they are only 8". I tell them why, and they say they know not to let anything happen. But one day , they will understand, so I don't care if they think I am too strict and think the worst now.......it's all I can do to protect them.

I hope this boy, the 11 yr old can be put into a psyh ward and be tested,,,,,,,there is no telling what kind of mental illness he might have, what he has been watching on TV, videos , internet or even from someone abusing him. Not all abused children abuse other kids but I heard it happens sometimes. I just think this child must have had something terrible happen to him, because this was not only a kid wanting sex,,,,it was violent with an innocent. He needs help for sure, being a child maybe he can be helped.

My heart goes out to that little girl, I just don't know what I would do if it was my child....... I would feel the need to warn others as well. This is a very complicated sad story.
