I was raised an Episcopalian. It is essentially Catholic w/o the Pope and Mary worship. Their Priest can marry. Al other beliefs are pretty much the same.

i have recently made a couple of new friends, both episcopalian, and they are eager for me to attend one of their services.
they have nothing but good things to say about their church and its members.

Anyone taken legal action in DF'ing?
by startingover ina close friend of mine, in fact a lurker here, got a call last night inviting him to a jc meeting, accused of apostasy.
he would like to avoid this because of the things it would complicate, and would like to just be left alone.
i know in the past i have read comments of some who have threatened legal action in this situation.

I just mailed off a letter, threatening legal action. It was given to me by someone who knows people who have used it and it went well with them. I am at work right now but when I get home later on I will post a copy of it so you can see if the individual would want to use it. I don't think I would really follow through with a lawsuit, it would cost too much and my sole reason for threatening them with one is to fustrate them and not play by their rules. Ultimately if I have to I will DA myself.

My Wedding Uninvitation

i'm not in the least surprised.
i know she really likes me and that her first inclination was to have me attend regardless of my daing myself recently.

Movie that could describe your experience as a jw?
by Nicolas inpersonnally, i thing that the movie "the matrix" and the movie "the truman show" really describe my experience in the wbts.
when i discovered the truth about the "truth", my perception of the reality became really different.
all that i have been taught was just a big lie.

Matrix for me and Stepford Wives for my husband. Even when we were in he use to say about the new system, what are we all going to walk around "Peace, Love, and Tranquility" smiling and always happy.

CONSPIRACY:Please define this word
by cookie ini am new to visiting this sight and i share a common experience with most here; but i am not familiar with the personalities or prejudices of individual posters.. i have found several threads to be thought provoking but have also observed some hostility here.i don't want to offend anybody by using trigger words that can result in war battles,but i am curious about how the word conspiracy is defined by this board.
is it the dictionary definition of the word that should be understood when reading or writing about it; or is there another meaning that should be understood?.
i stopped myself from making a comment about it on kenneson's thread because i did not want to irritate anyone by my thoughts.. .

Who Is Held Accountable?

the bible says that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and unrighteous.
the jws apply this teaching as though the resurrection is an earthly one.

Wages of sing pays is death. WT society says that this means when you die all of your sins are wiped clean. This is not what the scripture means. Read the whole chapter. It is saying if you continue in your sin you will die because of your course of life. The only way you gain forgiveness of sins or a clean slate is to accept Jesus in your life. If the societies interp were correct we should all hope to die now!

OK 1 in 6 or 1 in 16 that's alot of Freemasons. Where do you get this figure. My son has been doing research on the Freemasons. Very interesting. 1 in 6 or 16 at Bethel or at the Congregation level?
