  I own several handguns. Routinely carry a Beretta Tomcat 32. It's light & small enough to carry in your pocket yet carries a significant amount of knockdown power. Those of you who believe that Christians should not be armed, remember even the Apostles carried personal weapons. I'm sure if they were available, they'd be carrying Beretta's too.

  Where Are They Now?

  you know they have that question about stars that were famous back in the day and they went from child star to porn star.. my question---regarding all the witnesses you knew from years ago, where are they now?.

  these "true believers"---are they still around or are they long gone by now?.

  when i think back to many of the elders that i knew, many are no longer around and those that are are ready to recieve their "reward"..

  i have an issue with preaching.

  specifically, going door to door, talking to people who, for the most part, have no desire whatsoever to hear what i have to say.

  more specifically, being required to do so as a means of salvation.

  The main reason for the preaching work was to "give a warning". This was to, not only save the individual, but also the one who gave the warning so as not to be bloodguilty. The problem arises when the warning is in vain. No one could be faulted for ignoring an organization's warnings that, after a century saw no fulfillment. The question of what a "generation" means is quickly answered by Jesus' initial warning to the Christians in Jerusalem. That time period, from 33 AD when the warning was given to it's fulfillment in 70 AD was 37 years. Time enough for those who heard the warning to benefit from it. And it fits the usual time period of "a generation". There is absolutely no proof that this generation or the next or the next is the LAST generation. So the truth is......SAVE YOUR TIME & GAS MONEY, THE END AIN'T HERE. YOU HAVE NO OBLIGATION TO WARN ANYONE OF AN EVENT THAT YOU HAVE NO IDEA OF WHEN IT IS SUPPOSED TO OCCUR.

  hello all, i've just discovered this site and i cant begin to describe how happy i am to have come across it.

  i stumbled across this site purely by accident...seriously i was looking at arkham city walkthoughs and a few jumps later i end up here.

  i though it was a legit society page at first and thought 'what the hell, this will be good for a laugh', but after reading a few posts well...i couldnt stop reading.

  Welcome BGB; I'm due south of you in NY. Love Toronto. Wish your story had a happier ending. Most everyone I knew for the last 50 yrs. acts as if I'm invisible. I've been out 5 yrs. , remarried & truly enjoy life. You sound like you're well on your way to fully utilize my credo: Live Well......Enjoy Life !!!!

  I went to the ASSembly

  i didn't think i'd ever have a reason to go back to the assembly but my sister was getting baptised so i told her i would go.

  i would still like to keep on decent terms with my family who is still in.

  otherwise, i would have said no.. there were only a five people that got baptised (four kids and one elderly person).

  You guys missed all the fun in the 50's. Sunday meetings were a full 2 hrs. with a 15 minute intermission. Who remembers the book study of the "Babylon" book. Now that was a real snoozer. The book was as big as a Bible. The questions came in their own little book. Ahh the good old days.....

  Ahh, the cult caught on the horns of a dilemma. For if, as they claim, they are God's channel, why was the cult not informed by Holy Spirit that 1975 was not the year? Why hurt so many people with a blatant lie? Certainly this would violate the first mandate of the true religion; to love one another. On the other hand, if they thought this one up themselves (which they did), they certainly can't apologize & show themselves up as ordinary men. That would mean it's just an opinion & theirs' suck. Arrogance, lies & hypocrisy. I didn't realize they were the mark of the true religion.
