  for me, the word was "loving".. great "loving" kindness.. great undeserved "loving" kindness!.

  disfellowshipping is a "loving" provision.. when the wtbts want their accolytes to swallow another bitter pill, another restriction, another rebuke, another demand on time, the buzz word is "loving".. the "loving" word, is, to the average jw, the same as the mccabe nod is to the salesman.

  the mccabe nod is used by salesman all the time to get the prospective customer to agree to something that he doesn't care for too much.

  Dealing with Shunners

  it was kind of fun yesterday when i was in line at the local coffee house.

  a "sister" came up and stood in line right next to me.

  now, my ex is df'd and i am probably "bad association", but technically they should not shun me because i never got dunked.

  Scully like you I am not DAed or DFed and get treated as though I am. It can be frustrating at times. We took one families daughters with us to Maui a couple of years ago. They shun us as though we were murderers.

  Lately I've started saying a big HI to any witness I see in a store, which is the only place I'll run into them. It's enjoyable to see their reaction. Many act as though they didn't see me at first.

  I do like your idea though. It would really get them going wouldn't it? What fun.

  Tera they are current JW's in Wasilla. Almost became ex's. But they are not regular attenders. They were treated pretty badly here in Oregon but seem to be into up there right now.

  Nicest people you'd ever want to meet. Those kids are so well behaved. We really loved them.

  My favorite thing to hate was..."raised in the truth" as though that made you more special.

  But I used to count how many times during a watchtower study the word "appreciate" was used. One guy in particular used it a lot. I counted 12 uses of "appreciate" in one study alone from him.

  Toilet Seat Up Or Down??????

  we have no problems in our relationship about the toilet seat.

  but others seem to make a big deal as to whether the guy should leave it down for us ladies.. what's your take on this?

  take into account ladies that if a man puts it down, and we leave it down, he has to always be putting it up.

  I hope I don't come off like Uncle Jimbo here, but....

  I can't imagine getting upset with a man for falling in the toliet. He's in bed asleep, and you fell in the toliet, so it's his fault, right? Well I've been told it's my fault.

  I can't get an excuse from my doctor about this either.

  what do you do when you're being blindsided from seemingly every direction and you're drowning in stress?

  what do you personally do to counteract it?.

  reading joelbear's latest post ("joelbear needs to calm down")reminded me of what it was like when first exiting the watchtower.

  Jerry for me stress happens all too often. I usually do something physical. I'll take a hike in the woods out back most of the time. Getting away always helps.

  I'd do the gym thing, except there isn't one closer than an hour away. That would be stressful, just getting there.

  I'm up in Oregon after spending way too many years in CA. Yes the weather was great there, but, nothing else was.

  I'm planning on heading to FLA next winter, for a couple of months. I plan to hook up the 5th wheel and drag my toys across the states. Enough is enough!

  Oh tera, Alaska? I USED to want to move there. Now I'm old and too set in my ways. The water we dove in was 36 degrees according to my computer, but, we did have to break the ice to get in. Not bright, I know.

  Where abouts up there? I have some friends in Wasila.
