My wife and I was in a old people congregation and most of them treated us like dirt. I think they hated the fact we were young and having sex. About 5 years later I was then a new father and was working alot to feed the family. The CO visit one week and a elder assigned me to work with the CO on Sat. field service. The CO asked me why I was missing meetings and field service every month. I told him my wife and I was blessed with a child by Jehovah and I had to work more to take care of our bills. He look at me square in the eyes and told me Jehovah did not bless us with a child. I just had sex with my wife and she got pregnant and that was no reason to miss meetings and field service. That CO was the biggest asshole I have ever known. Totally ADD

Yes about one month after my wife and I was married. A sisters worldly husband saw my wife and I having a beer at a local restaurant with our meal and he accused us of being to happy because we were laughing and holding hands and enjoying ourselves. We must be drunk. So 3 elders pulled us into the back room and told us we should not drink beer in public anymore because people might think we are drunk. And having fun in public sets a bad example to others. I was to young to tell them to stick their heads were the sun don't shine but it has always stuck in my crawl all my life. Totally ADD

How did the 1919 GB know they were chosen ?
by Phizzy inthe present gb/fds claim a kind of apostolic succession going back to the now claimed first appearance of the fds in 1919.. i don't think anywhere is it made clear who made up the fds then, but let us go along with the fiction, (in reality we know only rutherford really ruled the roost) and assume there was a group of guys who were the fds, how did they know they were chosen as such ?.
there obviously is nothing in the wt writings of the time as all this is noo lite, so, if they did not know their heaven appointed role, why would they carry it out, except by accident?
and if so, how could they possibly produce "food at the proper time "?.

You have to have a set of parents telling their pre-school child he will never have to go to school. Then when he starts they tell him he will never make it to Jr. High. Then in Jr. High/middle school they tell him he will never graduate. Then when he graduate they tell him he does not need any higher education because the end is so near. Then he gets married and they tell him he will not have any children. Then he has children and they tell him they will not go to school. Then when they start school surely they will not graduate from school. Then they graduate and they are told they should not get any higher education because the end is so near but they do and then they get married and are told they will not have children then they do and are told they will never go to school then they do. And finally the grandparents are great grandparents and even great, great grandparents and they die and the end is here for them and they wasted their life hoping for the end of the world. The watchtower is making some dangerous enemies
by 20yearfader inthis weekend i spent time with a friend that i haven't seen since high school,that would be 22 years.he grew up the same way i did being a born in.he and i both received our share of beatings related to the wt org coming to the hall without a song book not getting a comment low hours in field service etc....where we differ is the fact that his stepdad was beating him with his fist i got the belt or a stick.he would come to school with black eyes due to his infractions with the hall.after we left schoo we lost touch since he was still living at home an going to the meetings and i wasn't, kicked out at 17 so that ending my time with the org.he stayed at home until 21 still getting his fair share of beatings due to any sort of failing that had to do with the org.he left after one beating and joined the marines,he was dfed.while in the marines he told me he asked an got sniper training becoming a deadly shot,he also told me he always volunteered for the most dangerous missions.i can see that he was doing this to escape the pain of his upbringing even to his subconscious mind secrectly hoping to die on one of these missions.he tells me he has some sort of nerve disability that will progress until he cant walk,he has hearing loss due to a grenade going off by his head'he knows one day he will be in a wheelchair disabled it's only a matter of time.he hasn't spoke to his mother and his family in over 20 years they care nothing about him not even returning the calls he leaves on there answering machine,he told me he calls once a month for the past 20 years.sitting here at my house he says out of the clear blue you know i've thought a lot about going to brooklyn and with the skills i have i could do a lot of damage to those men that have ruined my life.i talked him out of it i think,i told him about this site where he could come to vent,because i think he needs to vent badly.i don't know what will happen to him when he is told his quality of life will get worse and if he will revisit the idea of lashing out at what he thinks has ruin his life,i don't know what he will do and even though i think i talked him out of doing anything,can i really say i blame him.i'm in the same boat my family is fractured broken all because of some men,men in brooklyn that hold more control over my family than i can,i wonder do thay ever think about the countless people that they affect with there shunning methods how many broken families they leave in there wake.i will say one thing there are many others out there that think the way my friend does i feel it's only a matter of time before karma comes a knocking..

People who pioneer on government assistance
by ilikecheese ini had a chat with my boyfriend about this, and he said that he knows quite a few pioneers who are capable of working but prefer to pioneer with government assistance.
his thought was, "well, it's kind of bad, but at least they're doing something useful/good with their time.
" i know from reading this board that it's a pretty widespread thing.

Biggest issue effecting apostates

its they cannot unite and this is what gives the watchtower the upper hand.
what needs to happen (and quite honestly i don't think it will)they all have to come under one common body.
