  I agree with tmo 1965 Please and I mean Please call suicide hot line or go to the hosptial now. This is nothing to fool around with. We all need you. Don't let the cult bastards win. Many of us have been there and have won the battle but only with support of friends and professional help. Please listen to all these good people. It just takes one phone call, no judgement just understanding ones willing to listen and help you. You are worth it. Totally ADD

  Lets all say hi and have fun for those at flippers apostafest

  talk to flipper this week and wish him and all those well who will be at the apostafest this weekend.

  since most of us will not be there here is our opportunity to wish them all well and have lots of fun.

  i have been impressed and depressed by what i have seen here and hope i can add something meaningful.

  a little personal history: i was born the son of the then "congregation servant" and his wife.

  Welcome 30 years out to the forum. I to had a father who was a elder up to his death. So I kind of understand what you must have went through. Thank you for your story and bebing open with us. You will find the support you need if you want it. The folks here are not closed minded like they are in JW cult or any other religion for that matter. I just sign on Jan. of this year and it amazes how many have signed on to this forum since I did. This place does the soul good. So continue to vent, talk, or give your thoughts on what is being talk about. It's all good and will help you to heal. Again thank you for your story and look forward to more of your post.   if you are afraid to join the forum and enter discussions, believe me -- we understand.. if you're feeling all alone, this message is especially for you.. sometimes people refrain from joining and posting because certain posts or threads really upset or offend them.

  or maybe you're reluctant to jump in because you see interesting threads get hijacked or go off in all sorts of confusing directions and you don't want that to happen to you.. if that's you, i suggest you join and start with private messages (pms) instead.

  doing it that way, you can correspond one-on-one with posters you feel most comfortable with.. how do you choose who to pm?

  Hi, Newbie Here

  well i have been lurking for the past couple of weeks and have finally decided to create an account.

  just wanted to introduce myself and relate my life story in the borg, specifically from the past few weeks- which i think has been a lot easier than many on the board.

  anyway, my mum began to study when i was 10 (2005) and since then has been babtized; she strongly believes it is the truth.

  Welcome Iseenow to the forum. Ask you elder friend why the great crowd does not have Jesus as there mediator. Ask him why is it only those on the GB that runs everything and the rest of the anointed have no say. After all they are all brother and sisters of the little flock. I think these question will help you see their answers do not go along with what the bible has to say. One question that got me thinking was "Why do they have Jehovah's name being used in the NT" Then with the reference bible turn to the back and find Jehovah's name and read why they use it in there NT version" That one got me thinking alot.   Just when you think you had it bad as a JW child others come along show you they had it just as hard maybe even harder. Welcome Velour to the forum. Sorry what you had to go through. If I was a betting man I would say 90% of born-ins had horrible upbringings. I have only know a few born-ins in my life that had a good childhood. Do what you need to do to get yourself clear of the cult thinking. It takes time but it is worth all the hard work. Also learn from your parents mistakes and work hard not to fall into those traps. Being here will help you alot to vent and get support. Looking forward to future post. Take care and thank you for your story. Totally ADD

  I have been to many of those convention at that place. It is the most uncomfortable building in the world. It is made for 2 hour sports event not a all day sit in meeting. It's very cramped and hot in the afternoon. Got to love those mid summer conventions in FL. I know the brother from Ocala. He is a very nice person. I like how they say it is family oriented. Like the children look forwared to these things and there is all kinds of fun being there. This is the JW news department promo they give out to the newspapers, with hopes they print it. Totally ADD

  Congratulation on your Ten Years. I forgot all about the holocaust cash grap. I remember the letter to the body of elders on that. They were looking for those who survived the holocaust so they could be in some sort of settlement by the goverment. I don't remember much more about it. This is why I know the truth is being spoken here. Things that I have totally forgotten about in this cult always come up on this site. It helps me to see how ridiculous there teachings are, how greedy they are and how hypocritical the JW cult is. Above all those who are on here are speaking the truth when it comes up about some of these crazy things the WT cult has done. Thanks Lady Lee for all you have done. Totally ADD

  i believe that the jw's destroy any enjoyment that you could have out of this life!.

  being a youngster that was almost born in, any single part of our life that wasn't part of the gb grand plan for world domination is evil, i still find it problematic to really enjoy wholesome worldly activities, thankfully my wife and kids don't have this!

  i believe that i will probably relax into the fact that it is not that the world is bad but the jw's.. i long for the day that this truly destructive religion will end, hopefully the rank and file will become disillusioned and leave when the 100 years are up in 2014 and the tower falls!.
